Spanning 7 days and over 600 miles, your Round Rock Firefighters Matt Deemer and Daniel Sweeney participated in the annual Texas Brotherhood Ride. They traveled between the communities of 9 fallen first responders from across the State to show that their sacrifice will never be forgotten. We’re proud of their commitment to honoring those first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Every step an honor. Every flight a promise. We don’t climb to prove a point. We climb to honor their sacrifice. 25 years ago, they started a climb that some would never finish. That’s why we do it. To show that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

On that terrible day 25 years ago, many of your Round Rock Firefighters remember exactly where we were when we saw the news. Some were already firefighters on the job, some were school aged, and some weren’t even born yet. This climb is for the heroes: the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, civilians, who never made it home that day. We carry your memory and will continue to pass it along to the next generation.

Firefighters are as close as family. And some even are family. Cody is the cousin of one of your Round Rock Firefighters and works just North of us in Belton. Please consider helping him and his family out as they navigate his current medical needs.

💚Mayday Alert for the Puckett family💚

Texas’ Cody Puckett is a firefighter and paramedic with the Belton Fire Department, where he has proudly served for the past three years. Earlier this year, Cody was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is now preparing to undergo surgery to have his thyroid removed. Following the procedure, he will require lifelong medication to replace the hormones his thyroid would normally produce. Cody and his wife, Erin, are also raising a young child while navigating the uncertainty and challenges that come with his diagnosis. Despite these circumstances, Cody continues to be a hardworking firefighter and a valued member of his department.

Cody and his family are now facing the financial and personal challenges that come with his treatment and recovery. His upcoming surgery and ongoing medical care will require time away from work as he focuses on his health. Let’s support the Pucketts while they navigate a stressful situation.

Come out and support our brothers and sisters over at Hutto Firefighters during their annual Charity Golf Tournament on September 14th!
