🚨 CAMILLIO NEEDS YOUR HELP — THIS IS URGENT 🚨
Guys, I really hate making this post, but we need your help.
Camillio had 9 teeth pulled at the vet this past Tuesday I truly thought we had his pain under control, but unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be enough.
Sugar gliders can self-mutilate when they are in pain, and sometime between his dental procedure and today, Camillio went after his own tail. I didn’t discover the injury until today. 😭
He is already on antibiotics and pain medication, but unfortunately, the damage is severe. About 2 inches of his tail will need to be amputated, and the bone has already become necrotic.
We are getting an estimate tomorrow, but we are going to need funds ASAP because this cannot wait.
And honestly… we are running extremely low.
After last week’s vet visits, our rescue bank account is sitting at just $1,991.75. We spent $1,570.96 on those visits alone. This does not include Kiwi’s appointment, because Sugar Glider Guardians covered his initial visit.
The ONLY additional funds we currently have available are the $330 we had set aside specifically for Ricky & Cleatus’ neuters.
I absolutely hate having to make this choice, but right now Camillio needs us. We will have to use those funds toward his emergency care, which means we will also need to replenish that money so Ricky & Cleatus can still get their neuters.
We have had so many medical cases hit us one after another, and we are doing everything we can to keep up. But we can’t do this without our community.
