In March 2022, Alva Mall along with Pastor Asif Anwar had an amazing opportunity to visit a small village of people living under very critical conditions. People from this village are minority Hindus, living in slums of Sindh, Pakistan, and their average monthly household income is under $19. These families lack basic needs such as clean water, food, clothing, medical assistance and etc. After spending quality time with these families and sharing the word of God with them, God gave us a vision to help them change their lives. Generations after generations, they have been stuck in the same cycle and are not been able to come out of the poverty due to the lack of education.
At first, we were hesitant to ask parents if they are willing to get their children educated, since these children are supporting their families by practicing child labor. However, after having a discussion with the parents, we received a very positive feedback, and we realized that they are desparately willing to have their children get education. They understand the importance of education and how it can impact, not only their children's future, but also their future generations.
Along with the small amount of supporters and donors, we were able to start a facility made with bamboos and sticks. We also provided the children with textbooks, back to school supplies and other necessities essential to run operations of the school. This program will allow them to enter the real world of education. After completing this program, the children will transition to Convent and other private schools, which will be sponsored by our organization. Our goal and mission is to get as many unprivilaged children as possible in the real world of education and get them to the finish line. We first started with 20 children, and now the number of children has increased to 46. We have a team of dedicated volunteers and teachers, that are helping by giving their time and energy for the purpose. The only type of support they receive from the organization is a limited amount of money for gasoline and transportation.
Children that are not able to complete this program, will be placed in our technical program, where they will be taught skills such as, Auto Mechanic, Construction, Barber Training, Tailoring for both girls and boys, Beauty Salon Training and etc.
We would like to thank all the supporters that are helping towards this humanity based mission of God. Jesus Christ stated that when you do little for my people, I will bless you with abundance!
