Tonight, while watching the Academy Awards, our Girl Scouts hearts caught on a moment that felt wonderfully familiar.

As Rachel McAdams shared a moving tribute to the legendary Diane Keaton, she recalled Diane singing an old Girl Scout song on set.

The kind many of us know by heart:
“Make new friends but keep the old,
One is silver and the other gold.
A circle is round, it has no end,
That’s how long I’ll be your friend.”

And just like that… a simple campfire song found its way onto the biggest stage in Hollywood.

More than 50 million Girl Scout alumni strong, and somehow our little songs, our circles of friendship, and our belief in lifting one another up keep echoing through the world in the most unexpected places.

Friendship that lasts a lifetime.

Turns out the things we learn in Girl Scouts travel pretty far 💚🥰

Posting for a fellow leader:

Hi! Last year our troop attended the I Love My Park Day at Thatcher Park. The girls who attended got to clean up the Thompson’s Lake camp ground and painted the beach toy storage bin that is on the beach. I think we’re going to do it again this year and I’d love to see other Girl Scouts join in. I’ve included the registration info. Every volunteer does need to complete the form and that helps the organizers know who’s coming to help out.
