☀️ EXTREME HEAT WARNING ☀️
Temperatures are expected to reach 108°F today, with a heat index near 110°F. These conditions can quickly become dangerous, especially for older adults, young children, those working outdoors, and individuals with chronic medical conditions.
Please take precautions:
💧 Drink plenty of water
🏠 Stay in air-conditioned areas when possible
🧢 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
🚫 Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day
🚗 Never leave children, adults, or pets in a parked vehicle
❤️ Check on neighbors, friends, and family members who may be vulnerable
Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Heat stroke is a medical emergency- call 911 immediately if someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, has a seizure, or develops a body temperature above 103°F.
