If you have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss, we would be honored if you let our Rios doulas be a part of sharing your baby's legacy. Next week they will be taking all the names they received from the form below and create a wildflower garden to display on their social media page! They will also add your baby's name to their "Wave of Light" event in October. If you are needing direct support, we have peer support professionals or you can reach out to the Rio team in the clinic or give them a call.

Today is Say Their Name Day, and at Rio Pecos Medical Associates, our doula team is dedicated to honoring the little ones who are forever in our hearts.
While we are happy to have you come by or call our doulas for support, we are also preparing to "light up" our social media page Friday the 3rd at 12:00 PM with a digital garden of wildflowers-each one carrying the name of a baby loved and remembered by our community.
We want to say and share YOUR baby’s name.

How to join our Friday Bloom:
Submit a Name: Tap the link below to fill out our quick Remembrance Form.
We Create the Art: For every name submitted, our doulas will insert it onto a wildflower graphic for our Friday tribute.
Share the Light: Once you’ve submitted, tag a friend or share this post to help other families find this space of honor.

Deadline to submit: Please have your names in by Thursday the 2nd at 8:00 PM so our team has time to "plant" every flower in our digital garden.
Their names are spoken. Their lives are honored. Their light remains.

If you need immediate support or questions answered, please reach out to our doula team at 575-622-6322 Extension #963 or #964

Let’s fill our feed with beauty, legacy, and love.

"

Edit: Our hearts are so full from the beautiful names submitted for our Wildflower Bereavement Garden. Because we received such an unexpected number of submissions, we are taking a little extra time to ensure every baby is honored with the care and beauty they deserve. Thank you for your patience as we finalize this special tribute, it will be shared soon.

Introducing the Star Legacy Foundation- New Mexico Chapter!!!

We are honored to officially announce the establishment of the SLF NM Chapter, created to expand support, awareness, and community outreach throughout our region. We are located in Roswell, NM and serve throughout NM. Our chapter is built by a team of fully certified, dedicated doulas and advocates who believe every family deserves compassionate, culturally grounded support through all outcomes.

What is the Star Legacy Foundation?

The Star Legacy Foundation (SLF) is a national nonprofit committed to pregnancy and infant loss awareness, prevention, and compassionate support. The foundation focuses on:
-Supporting families through stillbirth, neonatal loss, miscarriage, TFMR, and other reproductive outcomes
-Improving bereavement care across hospitals, birth spaces, and community settings
-Offering support groups, peer connections, and grief resources
-Providing community and professional education to improve outcomes and trauma-informed care
-Advocating for stillbirth prevention, research, and public health awareness
-Creating spaces for legacy-building and honoring babies gone too soon

SLF’s mission is centered on compassion, connection, and reducing preventable losses through education, research, and family-focused support.

Allow us to introduce our current volunteer team:

Maeve Ebright

She is the Founder & Director of Kihci Wombwork Collective and the Lead for the Star Legacy Foundation-NM Chapter. Maeve offers direct bereavement support within their collective and also guides the chapter with a focus on community advocacy, accessible support, and trauma-informed care.

Cheyenne
Certified Full-Spectrum Doula focusing on Fertility and Labor & Birth Support. She offers virtual support to our collective members providing bereavement care and plays an active role in SLF outreach, helping us connect with families and community partners throughout New Mexico.

Stephanie
Our newest volunteer and a bereavement parent, bringing her heartfelt passion for walking hand-in-hand with other bereaved parents. Stephanie is stepping into community outreach and education, aiming to help both families and professionals better understand and support the journey of loss.
