Kila & Ben have dedicated countless hours to training in a wide range of therapeutic techniques and approaches, all while creating trauma-informed spaces where children and families can feel safe, supported, and comfortable. Vinnie was thoughtfully selected for this work due to his gentle demeanor—he is a cuddly, sweet dog who thrives in one-on-one sessions.

From sand tray therapy, play therapy, and talk therapy to EMDR and more, our team is ready to help however they can!💪

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Casakids, we know healing looks different for every child.

That’s why our therapists use a variety of approaches—including play therapy, sand tray therapy, and other creative, child-centered techniques—to help kids express themselves in ways words sometimes can’t.

Her story reminds us that, sometimes, what kids need most is someone who shows up, stays, and cares. We’re grateful she’s willing to share her experience—and we hope stories like hers help start conversations, build understanding, and inspire support for kids and families in foster care. 💛
