From coast to coast, every pair of hands is part of something bigger. Together, Assistance League volunteers are changing lives in communities across America.

Assistance League of Chaves County has many wonderful and hard-working volunteers! Occasionally, one of our members is presented with the WOW Award for going the extra mile. Jennifer Nunez was recently recognized as a WOW award recipient. Jennifer is the current Assisteens Director and the chairman of the Assisteens Committee. Jennifer is an enthusiastic and committed leader. She is organized, patient, thorough and someone that the teen and adult members of our organization can always count on. In addition to the many volunteer hours she logs with Assistance League, Jennifer works full-time as a bookkeeper and has two daughters who live in Las Cruces. Thank you Jennifer for your dedication to Assistance League of Chaves County!

National Assistance League Executive Director Judy Zulfiqar, who is visiting Assistance League chapters in New Mexico, met with some of the board members of the Assistance League of Chaves County on Tuesday, April 14. Judy shared news and information from the national office and learned about our programs, challenges, successes and plans. The national office intends to visit chapters on an annual basis. Thank you Judy for a great visit! We enjoyed meeting you!

Did you know that the Assisteens volunteer at the Assistance League Thrift Shop? These industrious teens, and the Assisteen Committee Members who work with them, always show up with enthusiastic energy and great attitudes. Thank you Assisteens and Committee Members for your hard work and dedication! Thrift shop hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and Saturday from 9 to noon. Come shop with us!
