🔷🔷🔷MONDAY MEMBER MOMENT🔷🔷🔷 Leanne (Westgate) Bratland was born in Colon, Panama, in 1940. She lived with wonderful parents and four loving siblings in construction camps in Alaska, high mountains of Wyoming, and in regular homes in half a dozen other states. After graduation as a Spanish instructor, she moved to the Washington D. C. area with her husband Bob, bearing two sons after working for Project Hope and Georgetown University.
The family moved to Tokyo for two years, then four in Seoul. Leanne and the boys moved to Roswell N.M. in 1978. She taught at Job Corps for ten years, then at New Mexico Military Institute for nineteen, retiring in 2013.
After retirement she was involved in four different service organizations, but gradually dropped three to concentrate on the best, most generous and needed one, Assistance League. She has been Philanthropic Chair on the Board for many years and works every day in the Thrift Shop. She loves the fact that she’s helping children get clothing, shoes and many other items through Operation School Bell partly through her efforts in hanging and putting out donated clothing and other items in the Thrift Shop!
