It’s designed to give you the tools you’ll need to better help your loved one with their struggle, but also to strengthen yourself through these trying times.

Embrace has several initiatives going, and we would like to share a huge step with those who like our page. Due to a generous donation from a very supportive donor, we just signed the paperwork to purchase the building at 108 East Bland that will house the UNITY Center - we finally have a teen center for teens and run by teens back in Roswell! Watch for the grand opening event in the next month. Thanks to our generous donor!

Our Americorp team arrives on Wednesday. A huge thank you to Sean from RSVP, Rick and Robbie , Marisa and Domingo from Lake Arthur, and Nathan from Roswell for the donations and the work to get the house in LA ready for the team. We still need a small couch if anyone can loan one for the 8 weeks that they will be here. The meal donations for the team continue to be donated. Thank you, Roswell!

We cannot thank Michael and Susan Richardson from Enchanted Farm enough for all the support that they are giving the Americorp team that arrives next week. They are providing lunch every day that the team is at the farm and a dinner/movie nite every Tuesday. Please give them a big thank you!!!

The drawing for our raffle is only two days away on Saturday, May 17 at 2pm during the Roswell Kids to the Park event. You can buy a ticket that day at the event between 10 am and 2pm. The response has been wonderful, and the winners are going to get great prizes! You do not have to be present to win.

We continue to get ready for the Americorp group who arrive next Wednesday. Folks at the United Way meeting today were wonderful! We have so many who volunteered meals, cookouts and breakfast events for our visiting team. Thanks to the Salvation Army, Joy Center, Girl Scouts, the Assurance Home, Wings, and the American Red Cross. You are the greatest!

The Americorp team arrives one week from today, and plans are moving rapidly! Thanks to a wonderful donor, we have $20 gift cards from Pepper's for each team member!!! And more donations are on the way. Thanks Roswell!

The Americorp team of 9 members is arriving on May 22 and staying through July 17 to work with Embrace and its partners on community projects in Roswell and Lake Arthur including community gardens and the homeless projects. This group includes 5 girls and 4 guys ages 18-24. Each team member is allotted $4.75 per day for food. We are hoping to provide evening meals for them Monday through Friday if we can get folks to donate food for preparation or meals already prepared or donations of meals at local restaurants. Thanks to Salvation Army for that first donated meal and to Jeneva Martinez for organizing one as well! We hope some of our Facebook friends can help us with additional home-cooked or donated meals for these wonderful folks who are here to help us.

Our volunteers are still selling raffle tickets so look for them at local grocery stores or send a message to us so that someone can contact you. $2 for each ticket with a chance to win 1st Prize $500 value Dyson Bagless Vacuum; 2nd prize "Tangled" set of dolls; or 3rd prize set of Temp-tations cookware. All proceeds will be used to support our homeless initiatives. Drawing is May 17 at 2pm at the National Kids to the Park event at the Zoo. You do not need to be present to win.

Thanks to our donors who made Give Grande a grand experience for us.

Reminder that the Homeless Committee meets at 3:30 pm on Friday at 1717 West Second Street Room 170. Agenda items include an update on the homeless shelter, a plan to distribute the homeless bags, and updates on other fundraising activities that are so critical for us.
