Rossville Downtown Development Authority Many of us grew up in Rossville, we own businesses and property here and live in Walker County.

We are a group of appointed citizens looking to improve the livability of Rossville, GA with smart urban design, community engagement, and new projects inside the Rossville Downtown Development Authority district. Who Are We:
We are a volunteer group of citizens, appointed by the Mayor + Council, who fiercely believe that Rossville can be a thriving and prosperous city again. How We Work:
We mee

t the Second Tuesday of every month, at 8am, at the Rossville Library. We Will work in Partnership with the City of Rossville's Economic Development initiatives within our defined downtown geographical footprint. For every project we design and develop, we aim for a 5-point approach: to bring together government, educational institutions, community members, investors/developers and design practitioners to accomplish projects which improve the quality of life in Rossville. What We Do:
We will be hosting monthly meetings, happy hours, and volunteer projects to engage the Rossville Community on exciting and fun projects that we can accomplish together in the city. These projects will involve community members from local schools, area businesses, artists, builders, fabricators, designers, developers, real-estate developers, community officials, non-profit organizations and churches.

* Volunteer Opportunity: We will be partnering with many community organizations and will be publishing ways that you can get involved.

Our Story

Who Are We: We are a volunteer group of citizens, in our 20s to our 60s, who fiercely believe that Rossville can be a thriving and prosperous city again. Many of us grew up in Rossville, still live in Walker Co., and attended city and county schools. How We Work: For every project we design and develop, we aim for a 5-point approach: to bring together government, educational institutions, community members, business partners, and design practitioners to accomplish projects which improve the quality of life in Rossville. What We Do: We will be hosting regular workshops to engage the Rossville Community on exciting and fun projects that we can accomplish together in the city. These projects will involve community members from local schools, area businesses, artists, builders, fabricators, designers, community officials, non-profit organizations and churches. * Workshops: We gather together and share ideas, define areas that need small and large scale improvement, figure out a way to make magic happen, and then get to work. * Volunteer Opportunity: We will be partnering with many community organizations and will be publishing ways that you can get involved. * Office Hours: As soon as we define a space where we can have our studio, we will have weekly office hours for you to come chat with us, share your ideas, and explore what we are up to. In the meantime, send us messages via Facebook and we will respond. What We Cannot Do: ~ We are working with the City of Rossville, but NOT FOR the City, so we cannot help you with any of your municipal needs such as: utility bills, landlord or rental issues, codes violations, domestic situations, crime related events, or emergency resources. We will be listing ways that you can get in touch with those agencies that can help you with any individual problems that you may be having. What we will do together: ~We will listen to you, believe in you, and encourage you to dream about a better future for Rossville.
