Thank you to all that participated in the June 6th buggy ride! Red white and blue was definitely on display with patriotic buggies and a great group of riders! We appreciate you supporting the legion. It was a great day and another ride is being planned for fall.

Today we commemorate the valiant efforts made by our brothers and sisters in arms. This throwback Thursday we are saying thank you to those who fought for our freedom.

Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force: You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hope and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944! The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to victory!
I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle.
We will accept nothing less than full victory!
Good luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

It's getting close to the buggy ride! In order to prepare lunch we would like to get an idea of how many riders we will have. Please send a message to the legion or text Freda at 785-213-0613 with how many riders you have! Thanks and we're looking forward to a fun day!

A few pictures from Memorial Day 2026. Thank you to the Rossville and Silver Lake Honor Guard for honoring our veterans. Thank you to the Auxiliary for providing lunch, and thank you to all who came out and participated in the days events!

Mark Brockamp and Wally Bonnette honoring Civil War Veteran F.W. Jones at Green Cemetery (South of Willard). They also visited the graves of 2 Veterans at Olive Branch Cemetery (Franklin). They were joined by Arnie Kreek from Oregon, Missouri with Taps for Veterans.

The cemetery looked beautiful again this year thanks to a great group of volunteers!

We would like to say thank you to Shana Wood and the 4-H for putting up the grave marker flags. Mike Manbeck, Rick Tower, Scott Campbell, Jim Stallbaumer, Mike Nadeau and Steve Patterson for helping put up the big flags.... all 148 of them! A very big Thank You to Roger Bush for all the work and organizing it takes to make it look so amazing!
