Fraternity of the 4 Paws Inc Foster-based dog rescue focusing on helping the community in and around Walker County Ga.

Our mission is: To work with local Animal welfare organizations both public and private to reduce the number of dogs euthanized in shelters due to overcrowding by utilizing fosters to ease the burden on local shelters. Educate the public on the positive impact of spaying and neutering, yearly vaccinations as well as the importance of exercise, enrichment, and nutrition in addition to containment for the safety and wellbeing of all dogs.

We've been asking for fosters for these pups for over a week now. They were dumped at a senior couples home and they are in their 80's you cannot take care of them. They have done the best they can since they showed up on their property.

If you zoom into the picture you can see these puppies need help! They are super thin and I'm sure they need to be dewormed and vaccinated! However we cannot take any more dogs in until they have a foster first!

The rescue provides for everything the pups need We just need your home and your heart to open to them and give them a fighting chance!

🚨 EMERGENCY PLACEMENT NEEDED — WE ARE RACING THE CLOCK 🚨

Meet Charlie.
He's an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix who spent every single day of his life in one home — and then his person was gone.
Nobody took him outside. He urinated in the house. So they threw him out.
He was house-trained. He was grieving. He was alone.

Now the family wants him euthanized. The only reason Charlie is still alive is because he's too scared to let anyone catch him — and honestly? Smart dog. He knows.
We reached out to our training partners at Heel to Heal, and they said YES. They will catch him, and they will commit to 2 full weeks of intensive behavior modification — or however long it takes — to help Charlie learn to trust again. To become a confident dog. To have a second chance at the life he deserves.

But we need YOU first.
We need a foster or adopter to commit NOW so we can move forward with his rescue and rehabilitation. Without that piece in place, we can't pull him. And the clock is running out.

Charlie doesn't need a perfect home. He needs a patient one. He needs someone who understands that fear isn't a character flaw — it's a trauma response. A little dog carrying the weight of an entire world that just disappeared on him. Heel to Heal will be right there with you every step of the way.

He's just a scared little boy who lost everything and never got a say in any of it.

Two girls needing immediate foster placement or adoption! Remi and Storm are losing their home. Their owners are having to move and the new place isn’t letting them tag along!

Remi is a 2 year old black German Shepherd and Storm is a 1 1/2 year old black Lab. They are both house trained, crate trained, spayed and great with other dogs, cats, and kids!

They can go together or separately. We would love to help them but we can’t do it alone. Our phone has been ringing off the hook with surrenders and we just can’t keep up. If you have ever considered fostering, NOW is the time. We supply everything you need and you don’t have to spend a dime.

Just when things were looking up....

Gorin has been a frat dog for a little over a year! He came off the euth list at Lifeline and has been with his foster ever since!

Last night the unthinkable happened, Gorin got into his foster mom's purse and ate the mints he found. Unfortunately they contained xylitol! This morning Gorin is fighting for his life at our vet partner VEG Marietta!

The last 12 hours have been nerve racking but we got a good report this morning. He was able to maintain his glucose on his own after it crashed last night within just a half hour after ingestion!

Xylitol drops their glucose quickly then attacks the liver sending them into liver failure! If your dog ever gets ahold of xylotol, go as quickly as you can to the closest ER because their glucose can drop within minutes! Now the long wait to see if it destroys his liver!

Remember also to take the packaging off whatever your dog got into. The ER will contact poison control to try and figure out what your dog ingested and it's toxicity level is.

Doses of xylitol greater than approximately 100 mg/kg (45 mg/lb) have been associated with hypoglycemia in dogs. Some dogs ingesting xylitol at doses > 500 mg/kg (227 mg/lb) may develop severe hepatic insufficiency or failure.

🎉 Big Announcement 🎉

It is my privilege and honor to announce that Fraternity of the 4 Paws Inc has been awarded the ASPCA Rescue Effect Grant totaling $10,000!

This money will help us offer free adoption events coming up in August September and October as well as rebuilding our aging kennel!

Without our community we could never have grown and saved the numbers we've saved! Last year we took in over 300 dogs who may have otherwise never found a safe place to land!

What a humbling experience it was to look around the room and see so many faces in one place supporting our little rescue!

We raised well over $8000 last night in under 3 hours! Jordan's Way was fantastic! They brought the energy and we brought our love for dogs and each other!

Thank you to all those who came, those who donated and all the people who shared and watched from home!
