Praying this will help Haiti!

The United States has secured pledges for up to 7,500 security personnel to support a newly renamed Gang Suppression Force in , U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on December 19, 2025.

Speaking to reporters during an end-of-year press conference, Rubio highlighted progress in the international effort to combat armed gangs that control much of . "We were looking for 5,500 forces. We already have pledges of up to 7,500 forces from a variety of countries. We've seen donors step up to fund that effort," he said.

The announcement follows a UN Security Council resolution adopted on September 30, 2025, which transitioned the understaffed Kenya-led Multinational Security Support mission, deployed since June 2024, into the Gang Suppression Force with an expanded mandate and authorized strength of up to 5,550 personnel.

A U.S.-Canada-hosted pledging conference at the United Nations on December 9 resulted in commitments from 18 entities for personnel, resources, and technical support.

Gangs, often armed with weapons trafficked from the U.S., have displaced over 1.3 million Haitians and exacerbated hunger and violence in the country. The previous mission struggled due to funding shortages and limited deployments.

Classes continue regularly at Beyond Relief Trade School despite the political unrest in Haiti. Fortunately there isn’t as much violence in the NW part of Haiti as it is in Port Au Prince. Here are some pictures of this year’s sewing class. Please keep Haiti in your prayers.

The Giving Tuesday fundraiser was a huge success and allowed Beyond Relief International Ministries to feed many families in St. Louis du Nord, Haiti. Thank you to all that contributed!! Here are pictures from handing out the food and from a special party that was held for the children where they got a special meal and were able to have some fun. God bless you all!
