Keeping our families safe on the farm, at home, and in our communities is a team effort. 🚜🦺✨

We’re excited to announce Community Safety Day presented by Progressive Agriculture Foundation® (PAF) and John Deere on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM!

Join us at Food + Farm Exploration Center for a hands-on, family-focused day packed with practical, life-saving knowledge. Utilizing proven curriculum from the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program—North America’s largest rural safety initiative—this event features interactive stations designed to empower kids and adults alike! This event is PACKED with information that we all should know, whether you live on a farm, in a rural area, or in town!

What to expect throughout the day:
🚜 Equipment & Vehicle Safety: Smart practices around tractors, UTVs, ATVs, and heavy machinery.
⚡ Electrical Safety: Live demonstrations on staying safe around power lines and farm infrastructure.
🍎 Food Safety: Practical tips for proper food handling, kitchen safety, and farm-to-table cleanliness.
💚 Mental Health & Wellness: Age-tailored resources and positive strategies for stress management and wellness.
🎟️ Full Center Access: Interactive kids' activities, games, takeaway crafts, plus full access to our exhibit spaces and self-guided greenhouse exploration!

This event is included with General Admission and FREE for Members! Delicious food and beverages will also be available for purchase at Colorful Plate Café
