What a morning to wake up in Wisconsin!

We love the Milwaukee Brewers and over the years their Community Relations Group has supported our fundraisers and campers, including this time when the Famous Racing Sausages hung out with our campers in 2013.

Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers on winning the NL Pennant. We can't wait to watch what you do in the World Series!

Wish List Update!

We maintain a wish list for the Foundation and all five projects: Wisconsin Lions Camp, Eyeglass Recycling, Vision Screening, Hearing, and Diabetes Awareness.

The wish list contains items that would be nice to have but fall outside of our normal budgeting process. It is a great option to pick up some items that make things easier for our staff and the people we serve!

Good News! We have new vision screening coloring pages ready and available for download to hand out at your upcoming community vision screenings. These pages are a great option to hand out after completing a vision screening. The link is in the comments!

We are fortunate to have a 45-acre lake on our property called Lions Lake. The lake officially became Lions Lake when we bought the property back in the 1950s. The lake is an area that gets a lot of use by our campers and guests. In just a couple of weeks, the docks will be pulled for the winter.

This week we were honored to have arborists volunteer their time to help with tree maintenance and trimming at our facility. Thank you for your support!

We were proud to be a part of the Wisconsin Arborist Association Day of Service for the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt! We helped with a variety of different tree removals and pruning! 🌲🍁

October is National Protect Your Hearing Month!

Millions of adults experience some level of hearing loss. Loud sounds at work, concerts, or sporting events are just some of the places where your hearing may be damaged. Take steps to protect your hearing this month, including:
• Lowering the volume on your devices and headphones
• Wearing earplugs in loud environments
• Take breaks when in noisy areas

If you notice changes to your hearing, make sure to schedule an appointment for a professional hearing screening. As always, if you are in need of financial assistance related to your hearing, our Hearing Project may be able to help. Visit our website to learn more and to start the application process.

We had staff working with the 6th - 12th grade students this morning on different team-building activities and games. Thank you to the students and staff with the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District for letting us be a part of this awesome event!

The Wisconsin Lions Foundation Deer Hide Collection Site is up and running. With the warm temperatures, we have set out a freezer to drop your hides in. When you arrive at the Eyeglass Recycling Center, grab a bag to put your hide in and then put it in the freezer. This way, the hide will stay preserved until the weather cools down.

Thank you for supporting the deer hide collection for Wisconsin Lions Camp.
