Alumnus of the year nominations being sought!!!
The Rosholt Alumni Foundation is actively seeking nominations for their annual Alumnus of the Year award. The award would go to an alumnus of Rosholt High School who has made notable contributions of service to his or her community, school, family, and/or other organization(s).
It is the Foundation’s belief that an education should not only teach students how to learn, but also how to be a good citizen. This award would recognize those who have been exceptionally good citizens, those who have “made a difference” in their world. Nominations should include a brief history of the nominee, as well as a summary of their accomplishments and contributions to society since they graduated from Rosholt High School. Those making the nominations should include their contact information.
Certainly, there are many alumni in the school’s history who fulfill the requirements of the award. Therefore, the field will be narrowed by requiring that nominees be living and at least 55 years old. Qualifying alumni would have graduated in approximately 1983.
The award will be presented at the Alumni Foundation’s annual All-School Reunion, held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019. Please address all nominations to the Rosholt Alumni Foundation, P.O. Box 253, Rosholt, SD 57260, to be received by the Foundation on or before Monday, July 15, 2019.

Please consider contributing to the fund for a new electric cot for the volunteer ambulance service based in Rosholt and serving New Effington out to Claire City. We have too few people and too few muscles to continue with a manual cot like the one below. PO Box 1, Rosholt, SD 57260 A Fully automatic Stryker cot is $37,000.

It is that time of year again to get my volunteering hat on. Rosholt Beautification will be powering back up to work around town. One of the things that I would like to know from the Rosholt towns people is: Do we do the hanging pots on main street again, would anyone be interested in purchasing a basket in memory of a loved one again?
