💗 YDKMS “iCare Bags” 💗 You Don’t Know My Story

A Little Care. A Lot of Love. Personalized for Every Survivor. Over 200 bags have been given since 2022.

At You Don’t Know My Story (YDKMS) Organization, I understand that every survivor’s journey is different. Why? Because I am a SURVIVOR! That’s why our YDKMS “iCare Bags” are thoughtfully prepared and catered to each individual survivor. Each bag is designed to provide comfort, encouragement, self-care, and a reminder that you are seen, supported, and never alone. YDKMS is self funded for now by God, My Husband and MySelf! So No donation is to small.

Each iCare Bag may include:

🩷 A Soft Blanket – For warmth, comfort, and peaceful moments of rest.
🩷 Cozy Socks – To keep survivors comfortable and remind them to slow down and care for themselves.
🩷 Dove Products – Gentle self-care products such as body wash, soap, and other personal-care essentials.
🩷 Lotion – To nourish and care for the skin.
🩷 White Towels – Soft, clean essentials for personal comfort and care.
🩷 A Journal – A safe space to write, reflect, release emotions, document their journey, and celebrate their healing.
🩷 Additional Self-Care Items – Thoughtfully selected based on the needs and preferences of each survivor.

I am honored to have been asked to speak on an important topic that is very close to my heart: SELF-CARE.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are reminded that caring for others is important—but taking care of YOU is important too.

As a PROUD Stage 3 Breast Cancer Survivor and for YOU a Domestic Violence Survivor, the importance of making yourself a priority, protecting your peace, caring for your body, and allowing yourself the space to heal is oh so REAL.

I’ll be sharing my story, personal experiences, encouragement, and practical reminders about the importance of self-care, healing, and putting yourself FIRST. 💗

Whether you are a survivor, a caregiver, a professional who serves others, or simply someone who needs a reminder to take care of YOU—this conversation is for YOU!

I am OFTEN asked about my skin! Omg your skin is pretty what do you use? How do you keep your skin clear?

The truth is! After breast cancer, and the MANY surgeries, my body went through and the challenges my body is going through now because of the surgeries my skin has hit a huge curve. I never had a problem with my skin up until now. So I got intentional of keeping and paying attention to the products I use and how I keep my face. What I’m doing and why I’m doing it.

 Taking care of your skin is an important part of overall self-care, whether you have been affected by breast cancer or not. Our skin is the body’s largest organ and serves as a protective barrier against the environment.

A consistent skincare routine can help: (it is IMPORTANT to find what works for YOU! But my knowledge in this is here to help with any questions)

* Keep the skin clean, moisturized, and protected.
* Maintain the skin barrier and prevent excessive dryness.
* Protect against sun damage and premature aging.
* Reduce irritation and sensitivity.
* Support healthy-looking skin.
* Encourage us to pay attention to changes in our bodies.
