We work very closely with Rettungs-Haus Shepherds Inc. and I call the founder Antoinette my friend. We have very similar rescue beliefs and have been there for each other during some of our darkest days.
She posted this and it rings true for Saving Shepherds of MN, as well.

We get so many messages and emails from owners after a bite situation and try to pass this information on to the owners.

Meet Ryder: The Ultimate Velcro-Dog with a Big Heart!

Ryder is a silly, energetic young “man-child” of a German Shepherd who loves his people more than life itself. As a rescue, his rough start in life has made him attach quickly to the humans around him. He’s a shadow and must be involved in all of the human tasks, from a supervisory perspective of course, like most Shepherds! Ryder’s intense love means he struggles whenever his human fosters need to step away, or leave the home. He has been known to munch a doorknob, and give some window blinds a run for their money!

Aside from this one challenge, Ryder is an absolutely amazing, loyal and also a pretty handsome guy!

The Challenge:
Because he is super smart, loves his humans so deeply, and has "energy for days," he’s quite the escape artist when he’s left to his own devices, yet we know that crating him is the safest option for him, when his human fosters have to step out. We want Ryder to learn to be relaxed and comfortable when separated intermittently. This will give him the best experience and chance to find his forever home.

How You Can Help:
We are fundraising to get Ryder into professional obedience and behavioral training. With the help of an experienced trainer, Ryder can learn healthy coping mechanisms for his separation anxiety, channel his brilliant mind, high energy in positive ways, and become the very best version of himself!

She may not rush up to you right away — but give her a moment, and Indi will find her way straight into your heart. This beautiful German Shepherd puppy is approximately 11 weeks old, DNA confirmed 100% GSD, and is ready to find the forever family she deserves through Saving Shepherds of MN. Indi is a thoughtful, spirited girl with a lot going on behind those bright eyes. She tends to be a little reserved when she first meets someone new, but once she's comfortable, her affectionate, playful side comes shining through. Where do we even begin….Frannie came to us after she was abandoned by her owner. Left alone to suffer until she was found.

Then she was sent to boarding for months while the case against the owner was going through the courts.

We finally were able to get her to a foster home where she could be loved on and spoken to with kind words, soft hands and softer beds.

The special thing about Frannie is that her foster family has just lost their female shepherd in March. Like most of us, we aren’t ready for them to go! So they told their sweet girl to send them another dog in need to help heal their broken hearts….and they saw Frannie. They just KNEW she was the dog their own girl chose for them, to help them heal.

Even though she was only with them for a short time, she made a huge impact.

Everyone who met her fell in love and she loved everyone she met as well.

We didn’t know Frannie has cancer, we are just so thankful she was with her new family that loved her so very much and she wasn’t alone in a kennel, with no one to hug and kiss her as she went on to her next journey….RIP Beautiful Girl 💔🐾🐾💔

We're back with an update on our sweet girl Koda, and we have so many great things to share! 💛

Koda has truly shown us what an incredible dog she is, and we want to make sure the right family finds her. Here's what you need to know:
