Warrior. The word of the day today, and every day for Ronin.

Ronin, you were the definition of a law enforcement K9, never backing down from anyone or any situation. You and Deputy Semenuk traveled the region and consistently showed what it takes to master your craft. Whether in training or operationally, there was not a harder working, more dedicated K9 team.

To the most prolific and successful K9 in Placer County history, we thank you for your service.

From Deputy Semenuk:

Big dog, you were an exceptional police dog and the best partner I have could asked for. You always kept our partners and I safe from harm and loyally served the citizens of Placer County. We had a phenomenal career and were able to do some pretty cool things together. Through the good times and bad, you were always right there next to me, always within arms reach.

In retirement you took on your new duties of safeguarding the home and were always gentle and patient with the little girls sitting in your head and pulling on your ears. Being your partner made me a better cop and a better man.

Thank you for your lifetime of loyalty, protection, and service . Rest easy big guy, you’ve earned it.
