Roseville Advocates for the Homeless

Roseville Advocates for the Homeless We are Roseville Advocates for the Homeless. Roseville has the largest number of homeless in South Placer. This leaves almost 200 individuals out in the cold.

As a non-partisan advocacy-centered organization, our primary purpose and goal is to ensure that the homeless within the City of Roseville have access to adequate shelter and services to help them secure permanent housing. As of January 25th, 2023, there were a minimum of 240 homeless. Currently, the nomadic shelter managed by The Gathering Inn is the only program available in Roseville. It rotate

s each night between churches and can only serve between 50 and 60 individuals depending upon the church. Besides The Gathering Inn, the City of Roseville has no publicly funded shelter system for these individuals. As a result, the majority are settling on the streets, along river banks, bike trails, parks, or in their cars. This situation results in inhumane conditions for the homeless and causes inhibitions, hesitations, and safety concerns among the broader community in using these areas. Legally, these individuals cannot be removed from these public areas until the city of Roseville provides an adequate number of beds. Roseville Advocates for the Homeless seeks to remedy that problem by advocating for a city/county sponsored “Navigation Center” with beds and other needed services. We are asking you for your concern, compassion, and membership. We are in search of individuals, acting on their own behalf, to become interested in our cause. There are NO member fees, just a willingness to be aware of the challenges, help us spread our mission, and join us in advocating for viable solutions from the City of Roseville.
