This weekend, Minnesota Blind Hockey traded the ice for the climbing wall at Vertical Endeavors for an afternoon of off-season team building and bonding!

Watching our players support, encourage, and celebrate one another with every climb was both heartwarming and inspiring. The cheers didn’t stop with those who came ready to climb. Some who hadn’t planned on getting on the wall were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, give it a try, and push beyond what they thought they could do.

That’s what makes this team so special. We celebrate the victories, cheer each other through the challenges, and remind one another that we’re capable of more than we sometimes believe.

Hockey is more than a game—it’s an opportunity to connect, learn, and change lives.

Today, Minnesota Blind Hockey was honored to host a table at the Hendrickson Foundation Golf Festival.

We had the opportunity to introduce golfers and hockey supporters to blind hockey, our amazing community, and some of the many different visual conditions that impact our players and so many others every day.

Our interactive experience gave participants the chance to step into the world of our players. They could choose a pair of glasses simulating one of eight different visual impairments and then had three chances to get a puck into one of two small nets. What started as a fun challenge quickly became an opportunity to better understand the experiences and challenges faced by our players and so many others every day.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, took on the challenge, and supported Minnesota Blind Hockey and the entire diversified hockey community. We also had some special opportunities to engage with current and former NHL players including Olympic Gold Medalists and Stanley Cup Champions.

And to the Hendrickson Foundation, thank you for continuing to create spaces where hockey is truly for everyone. Your generosity, vision, and commitment to making hockey more accessible are life-changing. We are incredibly grateful to be part of your mission and for everything you do!

In addition to hosting all of this at our hole were also honored to have two of our Blind Hockey staff/parents volunteer at another hole supporting Hendrickson Foundation.

Together, we’re showing that there is a place for everyone in hockey.

Minnesota Blind Hockey hosted a 'Try Blind Hockey' event today with the ISD 917 ECC Camp 2026 bringing together 6 students, 5 teachers, and 3 current MN Blind Hockey players at the Burnsville Ice Center. The fearlessness and positive attitude of the participants was amazing and we cannot wait to see if we have some new players for Fall!

A huge thank you to the Hendrickson Foundation for their incredible support of our Minnesota Blind Hockey team!

As the only blind hockey team in Minnesota, we must travel to compete. Thanks to your generous donations, our players who are blind or have low vision were able to travel to Chicago, Boston, Columbus, and Toronto this past year to compete and play the sport we love.

We are truly grateful for your commitment to making hockey accessible for everyone and for believing in our team. Thank you for all you do, your support helps make these amazing opportunities possible!

What an incredible hockey season! From tournaments to unforgettable moments with teammates, we're filled with gratitude for the opportunity to play the sport we love alongside such an amazing community.

A heartfelt thank you to the Hendrickson Foundation for giving us the perfect way to wrap up our season. Your incredible tournament gave us the opportunity to do what we love playing and showcasing the game of Blind Hockey.

We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support, dedication, and commitment to growing the game not only for Blind Hockey, but also for Special Hockey, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Hockey, Sled Hockey, and Warrior Hockey. Your impact reaches many athletes and families, and our hockey community is stronger because of all that you do.

Thank you for an unforgettable end to an amazing season and all your support for our MN Blind Hockey team and our hockey community! We are truly grateful for everything you do!
