Join Cycles 4 Hope today at the mayisbikemonth.com kickoff in West Sacramento's River Walk Park. We will be wrenching on bikes from 11am - 2pm for our good friends at Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates.

Two more C4H bikes delivered this week.

Not Pictured: We delivered a bike to a very happy youth in foster care that needed a bike to ride to/from school and to just enjoy being a kid on a bike with her friends and family.

Pictured: Meet Mark. He says he has made a few bad decisions in his past and that he is working hard to better himself. A bike will be a key part to helping Mark recover, get to/from work and to all of his appointments at local support services organizations he has access too.

Another C4H bike delivered today.

Meet Star... an amazing young lady that is working hard to improve her life. Star told me that riding a bike significantly improves her mood which helps her deal with and overcome daily physical & mental challenges.

Cycles 4 Hope truly believes that a bicycle brings physical & mental health benefits and is a catalyst for societal change... in honor of "Womens History Month"... a quote from Susan B. Anthony about bicycles is appropriate.

"Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel. It gives a woman a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. It makes her feel as if she were independent... the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood." ~ Susan B. Anthony

Two more C4H bikes delivered. These two young men are working hard to improve their situations and lives. A bicycle makes all the difference... helping them get to work, social services, the grocery store.. and most importantly to enjoy the simple pleasure of a bike ride.

Two more C4H bikes delivered.... providing Hope, Joy, Independence, Opportunity and now Sleep! Both bikes are being used as primary transportation to work.

Darrell (Yellow shirt) would start walking to work at 4am every morning patching together 2hrs+ walking and local buses... with his C4H ebike, he will now get to sleep 2 more hrs and ride directly to his work site.

Benjamin (Blue jacket) will use his bike to expand his job search and interviews... stating that many of the job opportunities he has missed were due to not having reliable and flexible transportation.

Thank you to all of our volunteers & supporters for helping C4H continue to support our local community.

6 bikes delivered today to humans-in-need... All made possible by our amazing volunteers and supporters.

- A young refugee mother from Afghanistan now has a bike to ride to her english lessons...

- A teen from the Marshall Islands and in foster care has a bike to ride to school...

- A disabled mother has a bike to ride to the store, work and help get her kids to school...

- A homeless man doing his best to get back on track has a bike to ride to support services...

- A husband & wife with a young family experiencing hard times have bikes to help them find work and experience the simple joy of a bike ride...

It is amazing how impactful something as simple as a bicycle can be...
