Hello C4H'ers
..Long overdue update...
Thank you for supporting Cycles 4 Hope since our founding in 2009. Many have asked recently if C4H is still in operation, and I am writing to share that we are no longer providing free bikes, repair services, or accepting donations.
It has been an incredible experience, positive social experiment and a pleasure to serve our community with free bicycles and repair services. Since our founding, we have provided over 12,000 bikes to those in need locally and abroad. This was only possible through your support and our outstanding group of volunteers. Thank you all for your contributions over the years.
Even though C4H physical operations have ended, we encourage everyone to carry on our vision & mission of
"Providing hope one bicycle at a time"
"Proving Hope, Joy, Independence and Opportunity with something as simple as a bicycle and message of hope"
by supporting other local nonprofits serving our community. If you need a bike, require repair services, have donations, or wish to volunteer, please reach out to one of the following Sacramento-based organizations:
1. Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates
2. Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen
Both were longtime friends, partners and supporters of C4H and remain leading advocates for bicycle education, services and infrastructure in our area.
