Last week, participated in an Engineer Academy, providing our members with an opportunity to develop their skills and prepare for the next step in their careers.

Promoting to the rank of Fire Engineer is no easy accomplishment. The process requires candidates to successfully complete both a written examination and a rigorous hands-on skills assessment. Each firefighter has demonstrated a commitment to professional growth, dedicating their own time to prepare for the challenges and responsibilities that come with the rank.

Participants received hands-on instruction and mentorship from experienced members who have dedicated years to mastering their craft. Their willingness to share their knowledge and experience reflects the culture of mentorship and professional development within the organization.

We are especially proud of the dedication demonstrated by those pursuing promotion, as well as the selflessness of senior members who continue investing in the next generation of Engineers.

We wish all of our members pursuing promotion the very best as they continue their journey toward becoming Fire Engineers.

Kevin Blakemore to Fire Captain

The journey to becoming a Fire Captain requires dedication, leadership, and a commitment to professional growth. Kevin has demonstrated these qualities through his service as a knowledgeable and dedicated member of the Rescue Task Force and as a SWAT Medic.

Beyond his specialized assignments, Kevin has taken pride in mentoring newer members and supporting fellow firefighters preparing for the Engineer promotional process. His willingness to share his knowledge and invest in the development of others reflects the leadership qualities he brings to his new role. We look forward to seeing Kevin lead as a Fire Captain.

Taylor Gregori to Fire Engineer

We are equally proud to recognize Taylor Gregori on his promotion to Fire Engineer!

Throughout his time with Roseville, Taylor has demonstrated a strong commitment to his profession through his involvement with the Training Committee, service on the Rescue Task Force, and willingness to support his fellow members.

With his experience, Taylor has consistently shown initiative and a dedication to mastering his craft. His hard work and commitment throughout the promotional process have earned him this career milestone. We look forward to seeing him in his new role.

Over the weekend, had the honor of attending the California Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento.

Each year, firefighters from across California gather to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. This year, 37 names were added to the Memorial Wall.

Members of the Roseville Firefighters Honor Guard were privileged to participate in this year’s ceremony, standing alongside families, friends, and fellow firefighters in honoring our fallen brothers and sisters.

The names etched into this wall represent far more than a uniform or a career. They represent fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, spouses, friends, mentors, and loved ones whose impact extends far beyond their years of service.

For our members, the Memorial holds special significance as it bears the names of four of our own: James Watts, Tracy Chimenti, Ray Sharp, and William Reardon- who made the ultimate sacrifice for our community.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, departments, and communities of those whose names were added to the wall this weekend, as well as those who came before them.

This weekend, were out in District 2, going door to door and talking directly with residents about why we’re proud to endorse David Nelson for Roseville City Council, District 2.

For us, this endorsement is about the future of Roseville. David understands that as our city continues to grow, we must protect the quality of life that makes Roseville such a great place to live, work, raise a family, and do business.

We believe David will bring responsive and accountable leadership to City Hall while prioritizing strong public safety, responsible growth, infrastructure and traffic needs, and a healthy environment for local businesses and jobs. His priorities align with many of the challenges facing Roseville today and with the level of city services our residents expect.

Most importantly to us, David understands that strong public safety requires strong support for the firefighters, police officers, and city employees who serve this community every day.

That’s why Roseville Firefighters Local 1592 is proud to stand behind David Nelson.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor those who have fought, remember those we have lost, and stand alongside those currently facing breast cancer.

are proud to wear pink in support of the survivors, families, friends, and loved ones whose lives have been impacted by this disease.

This month, and always, we stand together in support of awareness, early detection, continued research, and hope for a cure.

Earlier this week, responded to a house fire in District 3.

Our members quickly went to work, each playing a critical role in safely and aggressively bringing the fire under control.

Responses like these highlight why training is an important part of what we do. On a routine basis, our members train together on the fundamentals of firefighting, from hose deployment and fire attack to search, ventilation, and other coordinated fireground operations. Preparation builds efficiency, strengthens communication, and allows our crews to work together when every second matters.

Training is about more than maintaining skills, it’s about constantly working to master our craft. We take pride in being prepared, improving, and providing the highest level of service.

We’re proud to represent the men and women who put in the work every day so they are ready when our community needs them most.
