The Minnesota Herpetological Society (MHS) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization open to anyone with an interest in amphibians and reptiles. The purpose of the MHS is to:

-Further the education of the membership and the general public in the care and captive propagation of reptiles and amphibians.
-Educate the members and the general public on the ecological role of reptiles and amphibians.
-Promote the study and conservation of reptiles and amphibians.

🐒 Many turtle species don't reach maturity until they're 10–20 years old.

πŸ₯š A female may spend decades reproducing before replacing herself in the population.

πŸš— Losing even a few wild turtles to collection and/or road mortality each year can cause local populations to decline.

Hello friends! Once again Twin Cities Crickets will have A LOT of FREE ✨️end of life✨️ banded crickets at our Friday meeting. Bring whatever container you have, even a baggie, and Laura Lee Christopher will have cardboard pieces and πŸ¦—πŸ¦—πŸ¦—.
These will need to be fed off quickly due to age.

Celebrate Earth Day with MHS! Our friendly volunteers will again be bringing a variety of reptiles to the Earth Day Celebration from 1-4 pm on April 25th at the Richfield Community Center (7000 Nicollet Avenue, Richfield). Stop by to pet a tortoise or a snake. Spring is here and so are the herps!
