Touch and see lots of beautiful reptiles at the Minnesota State Fair! Come to the Garden Stage on the west side of the DNR building on Sunday, August 30 or Sunday, September 6 from 11 am to 3 pm. Our friendly education volunteers and their amazing animals will be there, ready to delight you.

For long-lived animals like turtles, .

🐢 Many turtle species don't reach maturity until they're 10–20 years old.

🥚 A female may spend decades reproducing before replacing herself in the population.

🚗 Losing even a few wild turtles to collection and/or road mortality each year can cause local populations to decline.

Person 1: "So what should I do?"
Person 2: " . If they are crossing the road, and it's safe to stop, help it cross in the direction it was already traveling."

Thank you to the many people who came to visit MHS volunteers and their animals today at Springbrook Nature Center! Laura and her frog, Sarah and her bearded dragon, and Renee and her snakes were delighted to meet you. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
