Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Light Within Gala! It was a night full of music, stories, generosity, and joy, and we’re still taking it all in. Here are some highlights from the evening:
Four of our clients, who learned the harp together in classes at our center, performed “This Little Light of Mine” on stage. Watching them share what they’ve learned was a powerful reminder of the impact these programs have on the people we serve.
One of the harpists, Susan Muse, also shared her perspective as a caregiver. She gave thanks to Wellness Within for recognizing the needs of caregivers and for the impact our programs have had on her family.
We were honored to hear from Debbie, a cancer survivor, and her husband and caregiver, Rob. They spoke about their experience from both sides: facing a cancer diagnosis, and standing beside someone you love through it. Their honesty touched everyone in the room.
Shauna Anderson sang “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” a song about the impact of a cancer diagnosis. Her beautiful performance moved many of our guests to tears.
The live auction and raffle brought plenty of excitement, with fantastic packages that included two 7-day overseas vacations. By the end of the night, the dance floor was full, and everyone was celebrating together.
We’re thrilled to share that we exceeded our fundraising goal! Your generosity helps us continue providing programs for people affected by cancer in our community.
