Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 12, AFL-CIO, CLC (OPEIU Local 12) is a Union representing over 2800 members. Most of the members are in the Twin City Metropolitan area, but there are units in outstate Minnesota, North Dakota, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin. We are a democratic institution governed by our members.

We are proud to have had a union contract at Mia since the 1970s. We know that every worker deserves a union and we support our colleagues in their right to a fair first contract.

🚨🚨BIG NEWS! On May Day (Friday, May 1st), at 9 a.m., janitors with SEIU Local 26 at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA) will be holding a Justice for Janitors picket demanding fair wages for the janitors that keep the MIA clean.
