It’s time to sign up for the community national anthem project! Celebrate our republic’s 250th birthday in all-American, 4-part harmony … at a baseball game in the state capitol!!

In our third year now, Splash spent Friday the 13th delivering Singing Valentines from Lake Elmo all the way up to Lindstrom! We even warmed up by singing to some passersby, and took time out along the way to record a special custom Video Valentine to ask a recipient a very special question! At the end of our journey, we were already at a senior living establishment, so we asked if we could sing for those gathered for dinner. After our little mini concert, the Activity Director pulled our photographer aside, gave him a business card, and said, “You guys are really good. Please call us – we want to hire you!!”

We hear similar stories from other delivering quartets who perform bonus songs and sing for extra audiences. We all do this because we enjoy sharing barbershop harmony, so please be sure to think about this unique and memorable gift for next year. We (members of the TCSV leadership team) were up to our ears yesterday in flowers, candy, cards, instructions, flyers, business cards, phone calls, giggles and red shirts! (And we want to thank our friends, Helen, Judy, JoAnn, Nancy and Edgar, for coming out to lend a hand!) We pulled off another big sort day, and hopefully have all gotten some well-deserved rest before sing day #1. Get ready...
