There are two kinds of people in this world...

People who want a sweet little lap dog...

…and people who look at a 5-pound Pomeranian with a questionable attitude and think, "I can fix her." 😂

Meet Chiquis.

She's about 4 years old, weighs a whopping 5 pounds, and is currently accepting applications for a new mom...and preferably not a dad.

Sorry, gentlemen. It's not personal. She just has some opinions about you. 😅

Let's get one thing straight...

She is ADORABLE.

Like, unbelievably cute.

She also occasionally chooses violence.

Your ankles have been warned.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, Chiquis isn't mean because she wants to be. We believe she's had a rough start in life, and somewhere along the way she learned that the best defense was to be a tiny, spicy little gremlin. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time and that big feelings can come in very small packages.

Once she decides you're her person, you've got a loyal little shadow. But getting there will require patience, consistency, and maybe accepting that your feelings might get hurt once or twice along the way. 😆

So we're looking for a very special home.

❤️ Someone who appreciates a Pomeranian with extra spice.
❤️ Someone willing to help this tiny girl learn that the world isn't such a scary place.

💜♿ Meet Wheelamina ♿💜

Some dogs refuse to let life slow them down.Wheelamina is one of those dogs.

This incredible little French Bulldog came to us from Front Street Animal Shelter. While we don't know her entire story, we believe she spent much of her life being used as a breeding dog before being discarded when she was no longer considered "useful."

But here's the thing...

Whoever gave up on Wheelamina had no idea what they were throwing away.

This little girl is pure joy.

She zips around in her wheelchair like a pro, happily cruises through the house in her drag bag, and absolutely loves being outside soaking up the sunshine. She doesn't wake up wondering what she can't do—she wakes up excited to see what the day has in store.

And she has quite the personality!

Her biggest complaint in life? If she poops and you don't clean it up immediately. 😂 Our little princess is all about living the clean life and will definitely let you know when housekeeping is required.

Wheelamina does wear a diaper indoors—not because she's incontinent, but because she doesn't always realize she needs to wait until she's outside. She actually goes to the door when she needs to potty, and at night she'll use the potty in her kennel if needed. If there's a mess, she'll patiently wait while you clean everything up before happily climbing back into bed to finish her beauty sleep.

She isn't looking for anything extravagant.

Just a family willing to help her into her wheelchair, a home with few or no stairs, and someone who will love her for the amazing little dog she is.

Because caring for Wheelamina isn't about focusing on what she can't do...

It's about watching everything she **can** do.

She doesn't feel sorry for herself, and neither should anyone else.

She's funny, resilient, full of love, and ready to prove that the best companions sometimes roll into your life instead of running.

🐾💕 MEET BETSY — OUR SQUISHY-FACED SURVIVOR! 💕🐾

Betsy is a bulldog mix made up of sweetness, beauty, wrinkles, and one seriously irresistible squishy face! 😍

This beautiful girl originally came into Front Street Animal Shelter, where she popped out four little kiddos—and then we got the call. And really… who can say no to a face like Betsy’s?! 😂❤️

Betsy is around 2–3 years old (as always, that’s our best guess!), and now that her days of raising babies are officially OVER, we thought it was finally time for this mama to relax.

But Betsy had a few more hurdles to overcome. 💔

We discovered that she had a foxtail embedded in her foot that had been there for a very long time. We were thankfully able to remove it and finally give this sweet girl some much-needed relief.

Then Betsy underwent entropion surgery to correct her eyelids, which had been rubbing against and irritating those beautiful eyes. 🥹 Thankfully, those pretty eyes aren’t bothering her anymore, and she can finally start feeling like the happy, comfortable girl she deserves to be. ❤️

Through pregnancy, raising babies, a painful foot, eye surgery, and everything else life has thrown at her, Betsy has continued to show us just how sweet and resilient she is.

And NOW? It’s Betsy’s turn. 👑

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Moocho has been questioned repeatedly about the disappearance of his second ear...

Unfortunately, he has declined to comment. 🎤🙅‍♂️

We're not sure if it's a sensitive subject... or maybe he just can't hear us from that side. 🤷‍♀️😂

What we *do* know is that this one-eared wonder is 100% certified GOOD BOY.

Moocho's hobbies include:

🥰 Leaning into every human for maximum pets.
🛋️ Professional cuddling.
😴 Looking ridiculously adorable while doing absolutely nothing.

He's great with other dogs, couldn't care less about cats, and believes every human—big or small—was put on this earth for one reason...

💔 Let's talk about the not-so-fun reality of rescue.

Sometimes we think we've found the perfect forever home... and despite everyone's best intentions, it just isn't the right fit.

Meet Fern (formerly Shiloh)! 🌿💚

This adorable 10-month-old bundle of chaos, cuddles, and comedy recently came back to our rescue. Her family loved her deeply and truly wanted it to work, but Fern has a **very high prey drive when it comes to cats**, and in the end, keeping everyone safe meant making the incredibly difficult decision to return her.

And you know what? That's okay.

We're not upset with her family. In fact, we're grateful they were honest and put Fern's needs first. Rescue isn't about placing dogs in homes—it's about finding the right home, even if it takes more than one try.

The good news? We learned even more about this amazing girl, and now we know exactly what she's looking for.
