✨ Meet Vega ✨

Vega is one of the 14 dogs we recently welcomed after a large surrender case, and when she arrived, she was by far in the roughest shape.

To say she was flea-infested would be an understatement. Her skin was raw, bleeding, itchy, and incredibly painful. Our first stop? A much-needed bath. Thankfully, Vega was an absolute champ through it all. From there, she got Capstar to tackle the fleas, a veterinary exam, treatment for a skin infection, medication for tapeworms, and a new lamb-based diet to help her heal from the inside out.

Today, we're happy to report that Vega is fully healed physically and feeling so much better. ❤️

Now let's talk about her personality...

Vega is what we lovingly call a "tiny agent of chaos." 😆 She can coexist with other dogs, but once she gets worked up, she tends to choose violence... or at least a little bit of mayhem. Cats and small animals are definitely not on her approved guest list.

She used to live with her former baby daddy and did just fine, but he has since moved on, and honestly? Vega seems perfectly content ruling her kingdom solo. She would thrive as the one and only princess of the house.

Her hobbies include:
👑 Stealing food and water bowls
👑 Pushing said bowls around the yard for absolutely no reason
👑 Being adorable
👑 Ignoring every toy ever purchased for her

Despite her quirky habits, Vega is incredibly sweet and loves her people. She has come so far from the miserable little dog who arrived covered in fleas and sores, and now she's ready to find a home that appreciates her unique brand of chaos.

Olive is simply amazing ❤️🐾

When Olive first came into foster care, the world felt a little scary and uncertain for her. But with time, patience, and the love of her foster family, she has blossomed into one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet.

She gets along beautifully with all of the dogs in her foster home and has especially bonded with her very best friend, Lena 🥹💕 Lena has helped Olive gain confidence, settle into a routine, and truly come out of her shell. Watching their friendship grow has been something really special.

Over the last few weeks, Fosters & Paws took in 14 dogs from a slight breeder/hoarding situation, and before anything else, we want to say this: we are grateful this family reached out for help ❤️

Rescue is not about shame or blame — it’s about stepping in when someone realizes they need support. Asking for help takes courage, and because they did, these dogs now have the opportunity for healthier, happier futures.

The family chose to keep two of the dogs and agreed to have them fixed — and we are so happy to share that both have now been spayed/neutered! We celebrate the wins when we can 🐾✨

In our care, all 14 dogs have now been fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and several have already undergone BOAS surgeries to help improve their breathing and overall quality of life. These procedures are life-changing for many bulldog breeds, and we are so thankful we could provide that care.

And what do we know about these dogs so far? They are absolutely some of the SWEETEST dogs ❤️

First up are Rocko and his sister Angel — 2.5-year-old English Bulldogs who have quickly stolen our hearts. They are:

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country 🇺🇸❤️

At Fosters & Paws, we are especially grateful for the freedom to do what we love each day — giving animals a second chance, building community, and helping families find their perfect companions. None of that would be possible without the sacrifices made by so many.

As we spend today with family, friends, and the dogs who make our lives brighter, we remember the true meaning of Memorial Day and hold gratitude in our hearts for those who served and never made it home.

Peep is proof that different can be absolutely beautiful 💕🐾

This sweet Doberman Pinscher mix puppy may have some neurological challenges and a permanent little head tilt, but don’t tell her that — because Peep is busy living life to the fullest. She plays, explores, cuddles, and loves with a joyful spirit that makes everyone around her fall in love instantly ❤️

What makes Peep special isn’t that she’s “different.” It’s her resilience, her sweetness, and the way she continues to greet the world with a wagging tail and so much love.

She doesn’t need a perfect family — she just needs one willing to see beyond her differences and love her exactly as she is. A family who understands that sometimes the most extraordinary dogs are the ones who walk through life a little differently.
Peep’s favorite place is close to her people, soaking up affection and returning it tenfold. She is gentle, loving, brave, and full of heart.
