👓 Making a Difference Through Vision Service Vision is one of the core missions of Lions Clubs around the world, and our members have been hard at work! This month, we sorted 193 pairs of donated eyeglasses and purchased 40 large-print Crossword Puzzle, Sudoku, and Word Find books to help individuals with vision challenges continue enjoying their favorite activities. We were honored to deliver these books to residents at Catholic Eldercare and share a little extra joy.

🏆 A Special Thank You We recently recognized our 2025-2026 Lions Club President, Sherrie Buda, with a beautiful plaque in appreciation of her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to serving others. Thank you, Sherrie, for all you do!

🙌 Want to Make a Difference? We're always looking for caring individuals who want to give back, make new friends, and strengthen our community.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — We Remember.

Today, we pause as Lions to remember the lives that were lost, the heroes who ran toward danger to serve and protect others, and the families who continue to carry the weight of that day.

May we never forget the courage, compassion, and selflessness that emerged in the face of tragedy.

As Lions, we believe in We Serve—and today, we honor those who gave the ultimate service to others.

Always remembered. Never forgotten. 🕊️🇺🇸

🦁 Good food. Great people. Learning. Serving. Making a difference. That’s what NE Lions is all about! 💙
The NE Minneapolis Lions had another fantastic get-together last Tuesday at the Minnesota Fire Museum, tucked right behind the Edison High School football field. What a fun and unique place to meet!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner from Marino’s Deli, learned more about the incredible work of the Salvation Army in our community, and—of course—found a way to serve! ❤️
Our mini service project this time was putting together Birthday Boxes for local food shelves. 🎂🎈 Each box included cake mix, a baking pan, frosting, lemon-lime soda to replace the eggs and oil, candles and balloons.
It may seem like a simple box, but for a family going through a tough time, it can mean something much bigger—a chance to celebrate a birthday, create a happy memory, and remind someone that their community cares. 💛
Want to see what Lions is all about? Come join us!
You don’t need to know anything about Lions, and you don’t have to make a big commitment. Just bring yourself, your ideas and a willingness to help.
Come learn more about our NE community, meet some great people, have a little fun and help us make a positive impact—one small project at a time.
🦁 More hands = more service = more lives touched.
📅 We get together the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
Reach out and join us at our next gathering. We’d love to have you!

A little kindness to start the school year!
Today, members of the NE Minneapolis Lions Club came together to pack 31 backpacks filled with school supplies and deliver them to local students at one of our NE Minneapolis elementary schools.
We hope these backpacks bring a little excitement, encouragement, and confidence as these kids begin a brand-new school year. 📚✏️
Happy First Day of School, Kids! We believe in you, we’re cheering you on, and we want you to know that your community cares about you. ❤️
Wishing each of you a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, new friendships, and lots of reasons to smile!
The NE Minneapolis Lions are proud to support our kids and our community. 🦁💙
Join Lions today and help us make a difference.

August Challenge: 31 Students in 31 Days

Can your club help 31 students start the school year ready to learn?

Your club's 31 can look different from another club's 31.

A few ideas:
• Provide classroom supplies that benefit 31 students.
• Stock a school supply closet.
• Fill backpacks for individual students.
• Donate hygiene items.
• Help meet another need identified by your local school.

Not sure what's needed? Connect with a school nurse, counselor, principal or teacher and ask what would help their students most.

Smaller club budget? That's okay. The goal is 31 students helped — not 31 backpacks purchased.

Imagine the impact! If every District 5M-5 club helps at least 31 students, together we could help more than 1,100 students across Hennepin County start the school year ready to learn.

Will your club take the challenge? We'd love to celebrate your club's service throughout August! Post your club service.
