Calling all animal-loving kids!❤️🐾

Get ready for a day FULL of pets, play, creativity, games, learning, and fun at the very first PAWS Pet Camp!

This isn’t your average summer activity — campers will spend the day participating in hands-on activities designed to teach kindness, compassion, pet safety, and responsible pet ownership in a way that’s exciting, interactive, and unforgettable.

Every camper will receive:
🐾 An official PAWS Pet Camp t-shirt
🎒 A camp backpack filled with goodies
🍕 Pizza lunch, chips, fruit cup, and a drink
🐶 Take-home keepsakes and surprises

Kids will enjoy:
✨ Crafts and creative projects
✨ Fun games and movement activities
✨ Interactive pet care stations
✨ Animal safety activities
✨ Team challenges and hands-on learning

PLUS…
Each child will get to “adopt” their very own stuffed pet, decorate a pet carrier, name their new furry friend, and receive an official adoption certificate to take home!

PAWS Pet Camp is all about helping kids learn, create, play, and grow while celebrating their love for animals.

Registration closes June 1 and spots are limited!Registration fee is $50 and camp is for children ages 5-10.

Because of this amazing community…the fire cats are receiving the care they need❤️

During this emergency, our community showed up in an incredible way. We are so grateful to everyone who purchased items from our Walmart Wish List or sent donations through Venmo to support these cats and their medical care. We have received over $1500 in donations!

Every towel, every bed, every toy, every crate, every cleaning supply is helping us provide comfort, safety, and care as they recover.

Every year we recognize people and businesses that have supported us over the years through sponsorships, donations, fostering, etc.. This year we designed an award for us! The Muskingum County Humane Society is a 501c3 nonprofit and is operated by 100% volunteers. None of us are paid employees! Our “Above and Beyond Award” was designed to honor a volunteer or board member who goes out of their way to help the organization. Our first recipient is none other than our Secretary, Jane Cooper! She is MCHS all day every day! Jane handles more work on a given day than most do in a week. She’s compassionate, dedicated, hard working and we are blessed to have her. We recently presented a “Humane Hero Award” to Trista Shumaker. Trista is one of our go to fosters and we don’t know what we would do without her. She is very good with cats that have medical conditions and with kittens. She is an exceptional foster and person! Help us congratulate her👏🐶🐱
