Our monthly EMR training was this evening!

We reviewed our oxygen tanks and equipment, refreshed some important skills, and worked through a few different scenarios as a team. It’s always a great opportunity to practice, learn, and make sure we’re prepared for whatever call comes our way.

Our training this month took us to North Andrew, where we had the opportunity to walk through the school and refresh ourselves on the layout of the building and where everything is located.

Knowing the layout of a building before an emergency happens is critical. We reviewed entrances and exits, hallways, classrooms, key access points, and other important areas so that, if we are ever called to the school, we can respond with as much familiarity as possible.

A big thank you to North Andrew for allowing us to use the building and continue strengthening our preparedness

Today, on National Paramedic Day, we want to recognize and thank the incredible paramedics who answer the call when our community needs them most.

As volunteer firefighters and first responders, we have the privilege of working alongside these dedicated professionals on countless emergency calls.

We are grateful for the partnership we share and proud to stand beside you in serving our community.

From all of us at Rosendale Fire Department, thank you to every paramedic for your commitment, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. We appreciate all that you do, not just today, but every day.

Six members of the Rosendale Fire Protection District spent Friday evening and Saturday participating in a structural firefighting course. The intensive program was hosted by the Maryville Fire Department and conducted by MU Fire and Rescue Training Institute. Our members engaged in classroom instruction and practical live-fire drills to sharpen their interior attack and rescue skills, ensuring they remain ready to safely serve our community.

International Firefighters’ Day is a time for communities around the world to recognize and honor the sacrifices firefighters make to keep people, property, and the environment safe. It is also an opportunity to thank both current and past firefighters for their service and lasting contributions.
Today, we proudly recognize the dedicated men and women of our department who answer the call without hesitation. Our volunteer firefighters balance full-time careers, family responsibilities, and countless hours of training yet they continue to show up when our community needs them most. Their commitment, sacrifice, and courage do not go unnoticed.
You often see our firefighters in bunker gear, ready for action but today, we also want to highlight who they are beyond the uniform. They are your neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family members. They are ordinary people who do extraordinary things in service to others.

“The role of a firefighter in today’s society – be it urban, rural, natural environment, volunteer, career, industrial, defence force, aviation, motor sport, or other is one of dedication, commitment and sacrifice – no matter what country we reside and work in. In the fire service we fight together against one common enemy – fire – no matter what country we come from, what uniform we wear or what language we speak.”

~ Lt JJ Edmondson, 1999

To all of our firefighters: thank you for your service, your resilience, and your unwavering dedication. We are truly grateful for everything you do.
