The Laconia Spartans girls' basketball team battled back from a 17-point deficit in the second half and led by one point on several occasions, but was unable to maintain the lead as it fell 66-57 to the Oosburg Lady Dutch in the semifinals of the state tournament. The loss ends an incredible run for five seniors, which includes four-straight state tournament appearances, a Silver Ball and two Gold Balls.
