From the school garden to the farm—let us help your students make the connection to agriculture through our Learning From the Ground Up Garden Grant program!

We’re offering $500 grants to help schools establish or improve gardens or greenhouses. Aquaponic and hydroponic systems are eligible if they are used to teach students about food production.

In the never-ending quest to advocate for Agriculture in Fort Bend and adjacent counties, a group of board members from Fort Bend County and Wharton County met with U.S. Representative Troy Nehls this week. While Troy won't be our congressman next year, there are a lot of activities happening in Washington, DC the rest of the year that he can help us with. Talking to our government representatives is one of the most important activities undertaken by your county Farm Bureaus.

The hay show is back. Submit a sample and get free results. Attend the presentation on 9/26 before the Replacement Heifer Auction and find out who has the "best" hay in Fort Bend County as well as get some "free" CEUs. No matter what, everybody wins with this program.

📣📣 LAST CALL to apply for our Clover Cash Grant program! We have $20,000 in grants available to county, district, and state 4-H programs to provide Texas 4-H members opportunities to learn more about agriculture and advocacy.

We are meeting with as many U.S. Representatives as possible who have districts which cover any part of Fort Bend County to advocate for agriculture and discuss the issues in front of congress today that affect farmers and ranchers. Fort Bend County Farm Bureau board members have been busy this week meeting with U.S. Representatives with districts that include parts of Fort Bend County. Advocating for agriculture with our Congressional Representatives is one of the most important things we can do to make sure farmers and ranchers of Fort Bend County have a voice in Washington DC. Fort Bend County Farm Bureau Texas Food Connection donation is delivered to Rosenberg Richmond Helping Hands by board president John Cotterell. Two other Fort Bend County food pantries are receiving similar food deliveries.
