It was an Honor to represent WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease by sharing Red Bags of Courage with Women’s Heart Health Awareness information at the Norris Wright Cuney Grand Chapter of Texas - OES Coastal Regional Health Fair. Thanks to all who participated in today’s event. District Deputy Jenyce Bond Caldwell shared valuable health care information. Thanks PM Marie Freelon for the invite. During this sacred season of reflection and recognition of Women's History Month, we pause to honor the remarkable contributions of women whose dedication and quiet strength have shaped our communities and our legacy. Today, we pay special tribute to our devoted Chapter Secretary Yolanda Hoskin an unsung heroine whose work forms the very foundation of our Order’s success.

With diligence, precision, and unwavering commitment, our Secretary serves as the keeper of our history, the voice of our communications, and the guardian of our records. Every note recorded, every correspondence prepared, and every detail preserved reflects not only skill, but a deep love for the Order of the Eastern Star.

In the spirit of Women’s History Month, we recognize that true leadership is not always found in the spotlight, but often in faithful service behind the scenes. During Women's History Month, Today, we pause to honor and celebrate a woman whose grace, dedication, and quiet strength illuminate every corner of our chapter—our beloved Conductress Veronica Simmons.

The role of Conductress is one of purpose and precision, requiring not only a deep understanding of our work but also a steady hand and a warm heart. You have embraced this responsibility with dignity and excellence, guiding candidates with patience, kindness, and a spirit that reflects the true meaning of our Order.

Your presence brings a sense of calm and assurance. With every step you lead, you exemplify poise and confidence, ensuring that all who enter our sacred space feel welcomed, respected, and valued. During Women’s History Month, we take time to celebrate the strength, wisdom, and contributions of women who uplift and inspire others through their service and leadership. Today, we honor our Associate Matron, Tannie Coward whose dedication, grace, and commitment embody the very spirit of womanhood and sisterhood. She was the Visionary & the very first Worthy Matron of Wisdom of Martha #88.
The role of Associate Matron is one of quiet strength and steadfast support. With humility and devotion, she stands beside the Worthy Matron, ready to assist, guide, and serve whenever needed. Her presence brings balance, encouragement, and reassurance to the chapter, reminding us that true leadership is not only about standing in front, but also about standing faithfully beside others.
Our Associate Matron exemplifies the qualities that Women’s History Month celebrates—perseverance, compassion, wisdom, and service. Through her kindness and willingness to give of her time and talents, she helps strengthen the bonds of our sisterhood and ensures that the values of our Order continue to flourish.

We respectfully invite you to join us for our Palm Sunday Worship Service on Sunday, March 29th, at 3 PM, to be held at One Church at Bethels Family, 14442 Fonmeadow Drive, Houston, TX. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and is a meaningful time of reflection, unity, and service—values we know are deeply shared by the Masonic fraternity.
