The Fort Bend Horse Task Force is an all volunteer organization that works in cooperation with Texas Agrilife Extension to bring equine educational programs to both youth and adults of Fort Bend and surrounding counties. The task force was founded 25 years ago and is the oldest existing horse task force in Texas. The founding members consisted of horse trainers, veterinarians, feed store owners, f

arriers, and horse enthusiasts from numerous disciplines. Throughout the years the task force has hosted clinics that addressed nutrition, proper utilization of tack, basic equine medical care, saddle fitting, basic and advanced horsemanship, barrel racing, team roping, dressage, jumping, cutting, de-spooking, working cow, reining, pleasure, trail and a two-day basic horsemanship clinic for youth. We utilize both local clinicians and equine specialists, as well as clinicians from all over Texas and other states. The Fort Bend Horse Task Force continually investigates ideas for educational events and we are open to suggestions from the community. We welcome new members to join us in contributing to a diversified equine educational organization serving the people of Fort Bend County and beyond. Come Ride With Us!
