What happens when you show up even when you feel unprepared? You might just win gold. π₯
This week, FBPFY was honored to welcome two incredible speakers β Daniel Salce of 1LoveHTX and Pastor Clint Paschall of The Waters Church in Katy β who poured into our youth with a message they won't soon forget.
Clint shared the story of Robert Garrett, a young athlete who competed in the 1896 Olympics in a sport he had barely practiced β and won. Two failed throws. One last chance. And a throw that beat the Greek champion by just 7 inches. π―
The message? You don't have to be perfect to show up. You just have to show up.
Clint's motto β "Love Bravely or Don't Bother" β had our youth reciting it out loud, and honestly? We were too. π
Thank you Daniel and Clint for believing in young people and taking the time to pour into them. This is what community looks like.
