What happens when you show up even when you feel unprepared? You might just win gold. 🥇
This week, FBPFY was honored to welcome two incredible speakers — Daniel Salce of 1LoveHTX and Pastor Clint Paschall of The Waters Church in Katy — who poured into our youth with a message they won't soon forget.
Clint shared the story of Robert Garrett, a young athlete who competed in the 1896 Olympics in a sport he had barely practiced — and won. Two failed throws. One last chance. And a throw that beat the Greek champion by just 7 inches. 🎯
The message? You don't have to be perfect to show up. You just have to show up.
Clint's motto — "Love Bravely or Don't Bother" — had our youth reciting it out loud, and honestly? We were too. 💛
Thank you Daniel and Clint for believing in young people and taking the time to pour into them. This is what community looks like.

Jean Donatto from Young Audiences Houston came through and brought the 🔥 with hands-on theatre training for our youth! Watching them engage, express, and step into their creativity was something special. 🙌

This holiday, our Special Programs team brought the fun with a bingo game and a sweet treat spread. A huge thank you to Christy for being our Bingo caller and to JSO Minott for keeping everyone laughing for one Bingo Game 🎱
