Border Battle Bolt Family 5K Fun Run and Health Expo Run with Me 1 Mile and 5K Family Run/Walk

It’s time to power down the cell phones and power up your running shoes!

District 196 Community Education is hosting the inaugural Run with Me 5K and 1 Mile Family Run/Walk and Health Expo. The event will feature a one mile walk/run and 5K race beginning at Shannon Park and continuing through some of Rosemount’s beautiful neighborhoods followed by refreshments, family activities, and a Health Expo. The Health Expo will include information and interactive demonstrations

to become a healthier, more active and connected family. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, race number and a packet filled with coupons and other items from local businesses that support an active, healthy family lifestyle. Race packets must be picked up on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Shannon Park Elementary School between the hours of 6-8p. If you are a local business owner and would like to find out how you can get involved in this event please call Community Education at 651-423-7920. If you register for Run With Me and Preparing for a 5K you will receive 20% off your race registration fee.

Thank you to everyone who checked in about our race this year! We love all of our Viking and Packer fans!! We are taking a break this year to gear up for next season when the Vikings have their new stadium and their new training facility so close to home! Stay tuned for updates about next years race and enjoy the football season!!

As football season is well underway and fall has just arrived, we are reminded of all the wonderful memories of past Border Battle Bolt race events. We will be taking this year off and not hosting a race event, but please stayed tuned for information regarding the 2016 Border Battle Bolt. Have a wonderful fall season! Enjoy the weather, continue running, and go Vikings and Packers!
