Rosemary Beach Sculpture Exhibition A juried outdoor art show that enhances our architectural heritage and the natural beauty of our town

ROSEMARY BEACH + NEW URBANISM

New Urbanism, an international, neotraditional design movement, first emerged on the Coastal Highway 30A on the Florida panhandle, on which Rosemary Beach is situated and exists as a quintessential example. This movement in land planning set out to reform the design of the built environment, and in doing so, emphasizes beauty, aesthetics and creating a sense of place

. Its fundamental tenets include a balance with nature and with tradition, as expressed through art, architecture and urban spaces. Embedded in these principles is the aim to communicate cultural values and to promote an environment for cultural production. New Urbanism is also defined by a belief that walkable towns should be shaped by designated, universal, public outdoor spaces. Integrated with surrounding architecture, these spaces take the form of greens, pocket gardens and squares. It is in these spaces that the stage is set for the Rosemary Beach Sculpture Exhibition and in which sculptors are invited to show their work.

CALL TO ARTISTS
Fifth Biennial
Rosemary Beach Sculpture Exhibition 2026-2027
Rosemary Beach Sculpture Exhibition (RBSE) aspires to be the premier outdoor art exhibition in the southeast and strives to enhance the natural beauty of Rosemary Beach and provide opportunities for inspiration through placement of outdoor art.
Rosemary Beach is a pristine coastal community known for its stunning natural flora, white sand beaches, and architectural beauty. Featured in Southern Living, Architectural Digest, and Atlanta Magazine, the architectural design of the community was inspired by the West Indies, St. Augustine, FL, and New Orleans, LA. RBSE is seeking unique sculptures to enhance its picturesque natural and built seaside environment.
We invite artists from all around the world working in the design, construction, and installation of outdoor sculpture, to submit applications. This biennial exhibition, opening in Fall of 2026 and running for one year, seeks to showcase the diverse talents and creativity of selected artists while complementing the stunning natural landscape and built environment that defines Rosemary Beach. All entries must be submitted via CaFE at CallForEntry.org. Application deadline is March 15, 2026. RBSE is a nonprofit arts exhibition organization.

ARTIST QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced sculptors are invited to submit their work for consideration. Artists must have documented experience with the design and construction of outdoor sculpture.

In November Raine Bedsole removed the Bronze Oar for Odysseus. We were very thankful to have her beautiful sculpture in our Rosemary Beach park for this past years exhibit. We are moving some permanent sculptures around and ramping up for next years exhibit.

Holds Water was moved from the park near the POA office to Spanish Town park. Idyll at walkover D will be moved on Saturday morning - last sculpture to be removed from 2024/25 exhibition.
