🌟𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻, 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺!🌟
We are excited to welcome Sophia to the Global Effect team this summer!
Sophia is from Laurel, Mississippi, and is entering her senior year at Mississippi State University, where she is studying Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Business, Communications, and Educational Psychology.
This is not Sophia's first time serving with Global Effect. Last year, she joined a mission team from Bethlehem Community Church , one of our ministry partners.
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
My main expectation for this internship is to take part in The Great Commission. I work in ministry back home, and it has led me here. This internship has offered me the opportunity to explore a possible calling God may have placed on my life. Ultimately, I want to form meaningful relationships, share the Gospel, and make disciples. My heart is burdened for the lost, and I want to do everything I can to help them be found.
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
So far, I have worked in the office and worked at Juan Bosch every afternoon with the younger children. There have been long days, but these few days have helped me to have gratitude and joy in all things. The busyness has required me to solely rely on Christ for strength, and it has been so fruitful for my walk with Him.
In the coming weeks, I will be working with the short-term teams, and I am so excited to watch the Lord move!

¡Nos entusiasma dar la bienvenida a Sophia al equipo de Global Effect este verano!
Sophia es originaria de Laurel, Mississippi, y está por comenzar su último año en Mississippi State University, donde cursa Estudios Interdisciplinarios con especializaciones en Negocios, Comunicaciones y Psicología Educativa.
Esta no es la primera vez que Sophia colabora con Global Effect. El año pasado, se unió a un equipo misionero de Bethlehem Community Church, una de las iglesias aliadas de nuestro ministerio.
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁í𝗮:
Mi principal expectativa para esta pasantía es participar en la Gran Comisión. Ya sirvo en un ministerio en mi lugar de origen, y eso es lo que me ha traído aquí. Esta experiencia me ha dado la oportunidad de explorar un posible llamado que Dios haya puesto en mi vida. En última instancia, deseo establecer relaciones significativas, compartir el Evangelio y hacer discípulos. Siento una profunda carga en mi corazón por aquellos que están perdidos, y quiero hacer todo lo posible para ayudar a que sean encontrados.
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀:
Hasta ahora, he trabajado en la oficina y también en Juan Bosch cada tarde con los niños más pequeños. Han sido días intensos, pero este breve tiempo me ha ayudado a cultivar la gratitud y el gozo en todas las circunstancias. El ritmo ajetreado me ha obligado a depender únicamente de Cristo para obtener fortaleza, lo cual ha sido muy fructífero para mi caminar con Él.
En las próximas semanas trabajaré con los equipos de misión de corta duración, ¡y me emociona mucho ver cómo obra el Señor!
