Even though the weather wasn’t the best, our youth still showed up and put in the work. We walked through the Elizabeth Port area completing an environmental scan and having real conversations about what they see in their community.

Many of the youth described this area as a hotspot for substance use, sharing concerns about seeing to***co and other substances left behind in spaces where young children, families, and community members walk every day — especially during nice weather.

We also discussed ways to create positive change, including the possibility of working with the town to install To***co-Free signs throughout the area to help spread awareness and encourage healthier community spaces. Small conversations can lead to big changes 💭

Even though we’re a little late, the message still stands!!

April 1st marked Take Down To***co Day, and today our youth showed up and showed out by taking the pledge to stay ni****ne-free.

We had real conversations about ways to get more young people involved-whether that’s joining YTAG or making the choice to live v**e- and ni****ne-free. From peer support to creative outreach ideas, our group is all about leading by example and building a healthier future together.

It’s never too late to make a change. The movement continues!!

Today is Take Down To***co Day 🚫💨 — a day where youth across the country come together to stand up against the to***co industry and speak out about how harmful products like ci******es, v**es, and other ni****ne products impact our health and communities.

This day is all about raising awareness, exposing how young people are often targeted, and empowering youth to make informed, healthy choices. It’s also a reminder that your voice matters — whether that’s educating your peers, advocating for stronger policies, or choosing to stay to***co-free.

💡 What youth can do:
• Speak up and share facts about to***co and va**ng
• Support friends in making healthy choices
• Get involved in local prevention efforts or groups
• Use your voice on social media to spread awareness
• Stay informed and don’t fall for the marketing tactics

Together, we can create a future where our generation isn’t defined by addiction, but by strength, knowledge, and positive choices.

Getting ready for Take Down To***co Day with our YTAG crew!

We kicked things off with a Kahoot as our pre-activity and review, testing our knowledge and sparking real conversations about to***co and va**ng. From myths to facts, our youth showed up ready to learn, challenge each other, and stay informed.

Building awareness, having fun, and empowering each other to make healthier choices-this is what it’s all about. 💯

Today’s session was all about creating New Year vision boards with our Target group — a reminder that goals, growth, and healthy choices start now.

We also touched on the Great American Smokeout again and discussed how holiday stress and peer pressure can make ni****ne products seem tempting.

Our youth shared great insight and real experiences about healthy coping. Together, we’re building a future where they feel supported, confident, and empowered to choose wellness over hype.

Today was such an interesting, informative, and empowering day with our youth!

In honor of the Great American Smokeout, our group dove into some GASO trivia, asked amazing, thoughtful questions, and had real conversations about the different reasons people start using ni****ne — from stress and peer pressure to misinformation and curiosity.

We explored how to***co and va**ng industries target young people, discussed the health impacts, and brainstormed ways to support friends who may be struggling. The youth showed so much curiosity, leadership, and awareness — truly inspiring!

Every conversation matters. Every question makes a difference. And today, our youth proved once again that prevention starts with knowledge and empowerment.

Let’s continue encouraging one another to make healthy, confident choices — not just today, but every day. 💪✨
