Cupcakes for Sophia's Cure On a mission to raise money for Sophia's Cure Foundation and SMA research by making and selling cupcakes! I love to make cupcakes, kids love to eat cupcakes!

Combining these 2 things, I am on a mission to raise money for a cause near and dear to my heart. Sophia is a beautiful little girl who has SMA Type 1 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), a genetic disease in which doctors do not expect a child to make it to see their second birthday. SMA is the #1 genetic killer of children under the age of 2 which has no cure or treatment. It robs a child of the ability t

o roll over, sit, stand, walk, talk, eat and even breathe. Sophia's parents, Catherine and Vinny Gaynor, have created Sophia's Cure Foundation, a non-profit foundation raising money towards SMA research that will hopefully find a treatment or cure for this heart breaking disease. All of the profits will be donated to Sophia's Cure. I am located in Union County, NJ. If you have a child having a birthday party at daycare, school or at home and you want to have cupcakes for them, please consider allowing me to make them for you. The cupcakes and frosting that I make are 100% from scratch (not from a box) and you can let me know what flavor cake or frosting you would like. I know it's been a very quiet 2014 over here. I've been adjusting to life as a full time working mom of a child who is now in elementary school! But I'm still out here taking the occasional cupcake order that comes in! I just wanted to take another moment to give a shout out to someone who has been a constant help to me... I would just like to take a moment to wish a VERY happy birthday to the inspiration behind every single cupcake that has been made in the past 3 years in my kitchen. Can you believe Sophia will be turning 5 this month? What an amazing little girl with an amazing family. Let's help Sophia have an incredible birthday! Her parents are asking us to flood her with birthday cards and wishes! We can do it!

In 10 days on Feb 27 2014 our Beautiful Sophia will be turning 5 years old!!!!! This is such an incredible milestone.....we still remember the geneticist telling us she would never see her 2nd birthday. Well....here we are and what an amazing ride it has been, we are so so lucky and honored to be Sophia's parents in the last 5 years she has taught us so much about life, love and what is really important!!!!! We want to celebrate this incredible milestone is a HUGE WAY....and we ask all of you who have followed her through the years to help us .....We want to flood Sophia with Birthday cards and messages from all over the WORLD!!!!
