The Reverend Servio R. Moscoso Foundation OUR MISSION: To mobilize the community and proactively advance the education of those who have dedicated themselves to bettering their community.

The Reverend Servio R. Moscoso devoted his entire life to bettering his community. He was a lifelong learner and educator who believed that knowledge and perseverance opened any and all doors. Born to humble means in San Pedro de Macoris, he vowed to follow his calling of becoming an Episcopalian pastor by dedicating his time and energy to education. He graduated from the University of Santo Domin

go with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and continued his studies in Puerto Rico to earn a Master's degree in Divinity. Throughout his vocation, he was not only a pastor in the Episcopal church, but a mentor, professor, and dean of his craft, teaching theological education in both the Diocese of Costa Rica and the Diocese of the Dominican Republic. In the United States, he immersed himself in various committees such as the Hispanic National Organization of Episcopalians, the National Urban Caucus, and the Community Development Program to ensure that his community always had a voice and a dedicated advocate. Among his many acts of service, he was a chaplain in Puerto Plata’s Correctional facility and provided pastoral care at the Elizabeth Immigration Detention Center. He was and will always be a pillar of his community. The Reverend Servio Moscoso passed away on August 25th, 2019. He is survived by his wife Angela and his three children, Karina, Johanna, and Anser
