This past weekend we welcomed 17 Rotary Exchange Students to Roseburg for an orientation weekend. We started off Saturday doing a service project of picking up trash along the road from Roseburg Country Club to Country Hill Drive. Thank you Scott Hendy for taking us to Wild Life Safari and we finished the day with a Foam Party at one of our Host families, the Littlejohns.

Come check out our vibrant club and meet Hugo, our Swedish exchange student this year. We meet the first and third Thursday at noon at Umpqua Business Center.

What another great Roseburg Rotary Livestock Auction! The Douglas County 4H and FFA youth raised over $1.5 million for their Steer/Hog and Goats this year at the Fair! Thank you to our amazing community for supporting our kiddos year after year. The number is only going to increase as we will accept addons until this Friday, August 14th.

Are you ready for the Roseburg Rotary Livestock Auction? It’s coming up Friday, August 7th.

Can’t swing a full animal purchase at the 4‑H & FFA Rotary Market Auction? You can still make a big impact through add‑ons or by supporting the Rotary Booster Club. Every donation is tax‑deductible and directly empowers local youth.

Thank you, Fred Sabins, for your year as President of our club. Through your leadership, our club has a newly remodelled building that you acquired from the county. We can now share our Roseburg Rotary Community Hall with our community as a much needed meeting space. Santa also has a home for our Festival of Lights Village.

We are excited to welcome Nis Jessen as our new President. Nis has numerous years of managerial skills as he managed Coastal Farms for over 20 years. He had been the President of the Fish Food Pantry and has lead numerous groups in the past. He is focused on continuing our growth of our club, keeping the club vibrant with wonderful speakers and continued support of existing local project and discovering new ones.

We need you to help Nis meet his objectives! Please join us at noon the first and third Thursday at Umpqua Business Center conference room and bring a friend!!

A huge thank you to all the Buyers that showed up for the Lamb Auction on June 6th AND all the huge community support afterwards with add-ons to individuals and donations to the Booster Club. With all the donations and help from the Cow Creek Tribe, we were able to raise all the sales up to at least $10.50 per pound! The total sale is now at $556,704.40.

We truly have the most supportive community for our youth.

Hope to see you all at our next Auction on Friday, August 7th when we sell the Steer, Hogs and Goats.

A huge thank you to Marybeth Spence, for leading our Rotary Auction this week. She did a fantastic job working with the 4H, FFA and Fairground leaders to pull off a smooth auction. It isn’t over yet folks, our community has been amazing with continuing to bring in extra money in add ons so all the kiddos benefit for all their hard work. The cut off date is June 13th www.roseburgrotaryfoundation.org

There is still time to donate to our youth as an add on. Please go to www.roseburgrotaryfoundation.org and submit your payment for a specific child or to Rotary Booster Club and we will contribute to the kiddos that didn’t get as much per pound as others. We will close the add on option at the end of Wednesday this week - June 10th.
Thank you for your generosity!
