The Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers, were established in 1967, by local, family oriented, 4x4 enthusiasts from Douglas County, Oregon. To stimulate interest in four wheel drive operation and ownership, enjoyment and friendship. To acquaint the public of the pleasure of four wheeling as a sport, not merely as a means of transportation. The Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers, have participated in many char
itable causes over the years, such as The March of Dimes, The Elks Eye Clinic, The Salvation Army, The South County Food Bank, Battered Persons Advocacy, and St. Vincent DePaul, just to name a few. The Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers, are involved with community projects such as, local litter clean-ups, beach clean-ups, BLM projects in Lake County, Oregon, and voluntary trail maintenance on local trails. Members of the Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers have been involved with Douglas County Search & Rescue, in the past. Members of the Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers are involved with various groups and associations such as The Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association, and Blue Ribbon Coalition. The Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers practice and encourage other outdoorsmen to stay on established trails, and keep our forests clean by packing out litter. The Umpqua Valley Timber Cruisers are active in trying to keep public land open for ALL RECREATIONALISTS.
