Our chapter would like to take a moment and congratulate the Nisqually River Chapter: NWTF Washington State Wild Turkey Hunting on receiving the much deserved Conservation Day Award. This chapter, led by a strong president and supported by an amazing committee and community, are the perfect example of what NWTF mission is. Well done, TEAM WASHINGTON-NWTF.

Well....now this is a grand surprise! We are down here at the Seven Feathers Sportsmans and Outdoor show at the Douglas County Fairgrounds with the BB GUN RANGE and Tiffany made an unexpected appearance...Thank you, Tiffany!! For coming down to help out today!

We made our first stop of the Exposure show circuit at the Lane Events Center in Eugene over the past weekend. It was a great turnout. 361 Jake's... ok, an a few Tom's and Hens, participated at the ever so popular BB Gun range. Thanks so much to Brandon Yang for coming out and volunteering...you did a great job.
Dylan was the lucky winner of our first BB Gun raffle prize package...An original Daisy Red Ryder, BB's, Targets, safety glasses, a Jakes box call, a NWTF vinyl sticker and a Daisy backsack to carry it all home in. I think Dad was just as excited Dylan.
Your next chance will be in Douglas County at the fairgrounds and event center in Roseburg this coming weekend. Hope to see you out there!

The PLAY Outdoors event was a huge success. I can't express gratitude for the amazing volunteers, outstanding committee member, Logan, along with 5 members of the OIT Fish and Wildlife club, President Devon, Spencer, Patrick, Chris and Preston came and spent their Saturday and shared shooting skills, talked alot of turkey and demonstrated the use of various calls with 160 Jakes and Jenny's in just 5 hours! Thank you, without the great volunteers these events could not be this successful in making tracks in the community and preserving our hunting heritage.

Sat. January 17th from 10-3 at the Klamath County Fairgrounds! Our chapter will be there with the BB Gun Range...come out and give it a try and talk some turkey!

Our chapter would like to send out a big welcome to our new board members, Tiffany Rood and Michelle Aeling and a huge congratulations our newly elected officers at the state level! Michelle Aeling-Secretary, Tiffany Rood-Treasurer, Chris Henry-Vice President, and Madam President, Alise Greening!!! It's been amazing working with the former cabinet, and we look forward to growing and making tracks here in Oregon and in the west with the leadership elected! Congratulations to each of you!

Guess what time it is???? That's right, it's TURKEY time. We aren't talkin' Thanksgiving, it's time for our annual fundraising event, Saturday November 8th.
This is going to be a fun filled evening with live and silent auctions, raffles and of course a wonderful prime rib dinner. There will be a dedicated Jakes raffle (17 and under) and a special raffle for our Military personnel, active and retired. And ladies, we haven't forgotten you....
There is an Early Bird opportunity if you purchase a $300 raffle package before October 25, you receive double progressive raffle tickets for the rack raffle.
