Our new Christmas light displays are being picked up today and wed like to give a special Thanks to John Glass & Joe Glass for taking time from your busy schedules to make the trip to the manufacturing plant in Hickory, NC to pick them up! We can’t wait to get them hung for the 2025 Holiday season! Also thank you to all our partners, sponsors, and community members who have donated to help purchase these 12 new displays!

We are pleased to announce next month's Community Free Meal Event! On September 29th from 4pm to 6pm, we will be giving out our free meal at First Baptist Church Rose Hill,VA. Pastor Cameron Cope will also be there, handing out free water and helping anyone in need. Spread the word and let everyone know! We can't wait to serve the lower end next month!

Congratulations Mrs. Sue Cavin!

Congratulations are in order! Our very own Mrs. Sue Cavin has been named the 2025 Adjunct Faculty of the Year for Walters State Community College!

Mrs. Cavin has been teaching psychology courses for the college since 1998 and is a beloved fixture on both the Claiborne County Campus and in the community.

She is pictured here, left to right, with Enrollment Development Director Marlin Curnutt, former Adjunct Faculty of the Year recipient Jim Welch, and Claiborne County Campus Dean/Executive Director of Workforce Training Dr. Kim Bolton.
