Are you a sanctioned bowler with the Greater Roscommon USBC and have not received your sanction card? Have no fear!
It can take several weeks to receive a physical USBC sanction card, ranging from 1-3 weeks after the local association processes the paperwork to up to 6-7 weeks if there are delays in the process. The exact time depends on your local association, the national office, and the card vendor. You can often get your USBC number instantly through your league secretary, who can find it on a list provided by the association, or you can create an account and print a card from bowl.com.
No, the USBC is not getting rid of the sanction card, but they are shifting to a digital-first system. While physical cards are no longer being automatically mailed, bowlers can print their own card from their membership profile on bowl.com. The physical card still serves as official proof of membership, but the online system is the primary way to manage your membership and prove your standing.
Key changes
No automatic mailing: Physical cards are no longer sent out automatically to summer leagues, though they may be available for other leagues as a one-off. this Facebook post notes that a letter may be sent with your number and a link to print a card.

Printing your own card: You can print your own sanction card from your profile on bowl.com.
Online payment: You can pay the membership fee online at bowl.com and print or screenshot the receipt as proof of membership.
Verification: The online system provides the official verification of your membership. You are also able to verify other bowlers' membership status by checking their USBC number on bowl.com.
