Get out and meet these great people.
Meet Your Buckin’ in the Basin Hosts!
Peter and I might be a little out of our element when it comes to hosting a rodeo! I grew up in a D.C. suburb and prefer riding a bike, while Peter, a Kansas City boy, is more likely to be spotted eating BBQ.
But we share a passion for hospitality done right. While we’re nowhere near perfecting it, we sure love trying! Come to think of it, that pretty much describes our 19 years of marriage, too… progress, not perfection!
We recently celebrated two years as residents of Tularosa’s 49 Blocks and as the proud—and sometimes “dazed and confused”—owners of Tularosa Distillery, Tumbleweed Lounge, and Desert Spoon. We’d be a whole lot more dazed without our incredible Tumbleweed Teammates, both past and present. Thank you for being part of this adventure!
When we find free time, we love joining local events and supporting the businesses that make Tularosa special. I dance at Tularosa Dance Studio on Granado Street, and Peter serves as an honorary commander for the 314 and volunteers at Fairview Cemetery. We’re also both active members of the Tularosa Arts and History Council. Up next: Halloween on Granado Street!
And because apparently we needed one more thing to do… stay tuned as we reimagine Tularosa Dry Goods!
Thank you, Tularosa, for welcoming us so warmly and sharing your rich history with us. We hope to see you this Sunday at Buckin’ in the Basin—or somewhere around town soon!
