Our marksmen beat the storm yesterday and got some great range time in before our monthly 4-H meeting. We saw great improvement in their skills and some tried new disciplines, finding new favorites!

We have multiple showmen taking goats and lambs to the Spokane Junior Livestock Show at the end of April! Be sure to come and show your support!

Three of our members and one of our leaders attended a goat field day at U of I today. It was an informative day filled with showing tips, animal health and wellness, animal selection and so much more.

We had beautiful weather for our first shooting sports meet of the year! After shaking off the dust from winter break, our marksmen were quick to get back in the groove. Currently, youth can participate in the disciplines of rifle, shotgun and archery.

We started the new year with our monthly meeting and continued presentations. This months topics included cactus facts, anatomy of chicken feet, piglet facts, 4-H and FFA dress, pacing while running, and truck engine information.

Our December meeting kicked off presentation season for the club. We saw a great variety of topics this month, including Christmas tree traditions, ghost sharks, narwhals, large animal vet, carbonation process, cuts of pork and animal pasture management.
Presentations are a great opportunity for youth to practice public speaking skills as well as provide an educational opportunity for the presenter and the crowd listening!
