Kappa Iota Sigma Sorority Incorporated honors Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Today, we pause to remember the trans lives stolen to violence, hatred, and discrimination. We speak their names, hold space for their stories, and recommit ourselves to building a world where every trans person especially our Black and Brown sisters, brothers, and siblings can live safely, openly, and authentically.

As a sisterhood founded on service, strength, and community, we stand in solidarity with all grieving families and all who continue the fight for justice.
May our remembrance move us to action, and may our love guide us toward a future where no trans life is lost to hate.

We remember. We honor. We continue the work.

Winter Clothing Drive ❄️🧣🧥

This winter, Kappa Iota Sigma Sorority, Inc. (KISS) is proud to launch the Wrap Them in Warmth Winter Clothing Drive, a nationwide effort to support LGBTQIA individuals living in transitional housing. We’re calling on community members, local organizations, and partners across the country to help us spread warmth, comfort, and care. 🧡

How to Get Involved

Review our list of partner organizations and pick the drop-off site closest to you. If you’re unable to deliver or mail your donations, monetary contributions are also welcome. 💸

Share Your Support 📸
Snap a photo of your donations or your team at a drop-off site and share it on social media to help raise awareness. Don’t forget to tag K.I.S.S. so we can celebrate your kindness!

Need Assistance? 🚚
If you’re in the same state as one of our listed partner organizations, we may be able to arrange a pickup for your donated items.

📢 In Memoriam: Miss Major Griffin-Gracy (1946–2025)

Today, we mourn the loss of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a true pioneer and matriarch of the LGBTQ+ community. She passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 78. 

From her early involvement in the 1969 Stonewall Uprising to her decades of advocacy for incarcerated trans people, Black trans women, and gender-nonconforming folks, Miss Major’s life was one of fierce love, resistance, and radical care. 

She served as the first executive director of the Transgender Gender-Variant & Intersex Justice Project (TGIJP), founded the House of GG as a sanctuary space, mentored countless trans people along the way, and always pushed the movement to center those most marginalized. 

Her passing is a profound loss not just to the trans community, but to all of us who believe in justice, dignity, and collective liberation. Yet her spirit remains alive in every life she touched, every voice she uplifted, and every movement she inspired.

Let us honor her legacy by deepening our commitment to trans justice, especially for trans women of color and folks impacted by policing and incarceration.
